Video Transcript for Fulton Round Snap Ring Swivel Marine Jack Review

Today in our trailer we're gonna take a look at the Fullton round snap ring swivel jack part number FTJ120W0301. Now when we get our jack it's gonna come in three pieces. The jack itself, the weld on bracket and collar, and then the snap ring. The bracket gets welded to your trailer and then you secure your jack to it using the snap ring. Now for this application we've already got our bracket welded to the trailer and we're just gonna re-use the old one. Now here's what our Fullton 1200 pound side wind swivel jack will look like once its installed. Now, when our jack is like this in the travel position rotate it up, it's really nice because it gives us all the ground clearance underneath it.

It's perfect for low riding applications like this one. Now, our pin whether on the old plate, or the new one, will lock into the pre drilled holes that go around it. The pin itself, is a nice spring loaded pin, so that when we pull on it, we can release and just allow it to lock into the next point. Now our jack is perfect for those marine, or recreational uses. It's got the Zmax 600 zinc plating, so it will resist rust and corrosion, even in salt water conditions. The jack itself is from a heavy gauged steel construction, we've got an ergonomic design, side wind jack. Here at the bottom of our jack is our six inch diameter polly wheel, it is also two inches wide, so it's strong enough to carry the 1200 pounds and large enough to roll around by hand if necessary.

From the top of the jack to the center of our mounting point is approximately eleven inches. From the bottom of the wheel, to our center point, is approximately 13 inches, and fully retracted making our total jack length approximately twenty four and a half inches. The raise of our jack is approximately seven inches, so you'll need at least a fourteen inch swing to go all the way around. Giving yourself plenty of room to operate our side wind jack. Now on our fully extended length, we have ten inches of lift. Now with our large wheel at the bottom putting our jack back onto the ball mount makes it pretty easy.

Simply roll it over top of the ball, and let the jack back down. Now this might look a little easier than it should, because we're in ideal conditions. But if you're on a garage floor or even in a driveway, it'll make it real easy. Here built into our jack is a nice greaser. This allows us to lube the gears inside the jack with our grease gun. Simply put the end of our grease gun onto the zerk, and pump it up with grease.

We'll take the jack and slide it onto the collar here on the trailer, put our snap ring into position, and secure it. I've got it in place, I'm just gonna use a screwdriver here to help it into position. You have to really make sure that the snap ring gets into place and locks our jack to the trailer. We can see here on the new collar, the groove, where the snap ring will sit to lock the jack into position. Now we've got our jack locked to the trailer, go ahead and pull on the spring loaded handle, rotate our jack, let it lock into place, and now with our jack installed we're ready to hit the road. That'll do it for the review and install of our Fullton round snap ring swivel jack part number FTJ120W0301 on our trailer.

It's a good product I'd say. I wish the wheel turned more freely when pushing the trailer around on a nice concrete floor, but I have to kick the wheel to get it to go where I want. It seems heavy duty enough. I have it on a 5x10 homemade travel trailer and I think I am way under tasking it. If I could do it over I would have probably put a block under my tongue to lower the starting point of the crank. It barely clears my ball hitch when I crank it up. I have my trailer set up higher than most for off-road use. 673650

Perfect! Used this one as a replacement for the Fulton that came on my 1995 Stratos Trailer. Fit perfectly on existing bracket. Installed in 5 minutes. Further, I called etrailer on Friday afternoon, customer service was excellent - helpful and informed, and the jack showed up at my house Monday afternoon. Better design than the old one, which had a bolt-on wheel assembly that finally wore out. Thanks, etrailer!!!

I bought this Fulton 1200 lbs trailer jack to replace the old 800 lbs jack on my Triton boat trailer. It is much sturdier and works a lot better. It was very easy to install, just one snap ring and in less than a minute it was on. I would recommend this trailer jack. 599383

This is the exact replacement jack that was on my trailer. I couldn't find one locally, but etrailer had it in stock and shipped the same day that I ordered it. They emailed all the information that I needed to track my shipment. It was two business days on the delivery. This is my second purchase from etrailer and all that I can say are great things about them. I would highly recommend etrailer for all your trailer needs. 58522

Product installed easily over existing mount. Big improvement to the smaller jack I had been using. The jack is on my Sylvansport Go utility trailer. Make sure to use 9” snap ring pliers. Took about 10-15 minutes to remove old jack and install new one. Found etrailer great to work with and very professional and customer oriented. The only improvement I would suggest is to more clearly state the mounting diameters. 563700

Delivery was quick, the jack was packed great. The mount on my trailer is welded so I reused it. The jack is a little loose on the mount, as the metal on the new jack is a little thinner than the original and the pin is smaller so it is going the rattle some going down the road. That being said it appears to be a very good quality jack. If it makes too much noise I could have the old mount removed and use the new that comes with the jack and I'm sure that would be quiet. It is replacing a Shelby model 5756, so it is a direct fit, just a little loose on the old mount 716685

I have a 1997 Eagle boat trailer and I raised the jack up to high and the jack came apart. Since the jack mounting bracket is welded to the trailer I wanted a replacement jack that would mount to the existing bracket. I checked a number of boat related sites with no luck than went to etrailer. I found Fulton jack FTJ12W0301 and I read the reviews and it appeared to be a replacement for old Shelby jack model # 5756A. I ordered the Fulton on Sunday night and it arrived on Thursday afternoon by UPS! You need a good large pair of Snap Ring Pliers and it took about 5 min to install the new jack you get a new snap ring which I used and a mounting bracket which I did not need, the new ring fits fine on the existing mounting bracket. The only thing and the reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the pin that holds the jack in up right or swiveled position is 3/8" diameter and the old Shelby pin is 1/2" so there is a little wobble but should not be a problem, just fortunate to replace the old jack so easily when there was no other way to do it without a lot of work. My F-150 has a trailer ball high of 19" and I jacked the trailer receiver to 24" just did not want to go any higher so I'm good to head to the lake! 660700

  • Replacement Jack for a 2008 Carson Run Runner Travel Trailer/Toy Hauler
Shelby has been out of business for a while now so replacement parts are no longer available. Your best option would be to replace the jack with a new one. In your picture it looks like you have a spot for a round tube A-Frame jack. There are a lot of options that will fit. It looks like the heaviest version of the 2008 Carson Fun Runner is 9,000 pounds dry. A 2K jack such as # PSEA2000-14007 is a good option. The foot is included. The snap ring swivel mount design has not changed to the best of my knowledge so the Fulton Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack part # FTJ120W0301 should work just fine with your existing mount therefore no welding will be required. The tongue weight of your boat trailer would be well within range for the above 1,200 lb option so there will not be any concerns here either.
