Dimension

Excellent Corrosion Resistance

The simple truth is that salt can be highly corrosive to metal when exposure lasts for an extended period of time. So, the more you tow around it, the more you need to protect your trailer from it.

A rusted trailer jack welded to a trailer frame

The Z-Max zinc finish on this jack offers great corrosion protection, even with occasional use around saltwater, to help ensure that it doesn't end up looking like the one above. Rust-resistant coatings are graded according to a salt spray rating. Basically, this rating shows the amount of time it takes for a material to show signs of corrosion when exposed to pure, continuous salt spray. Traditional zinc plating typically begins to deteriorate after about 100 hours. Dacromet usually lasts for around 300 to 400 hours. Fulton's Z-Max finish lasts for 600 hours in the salt spray test - 30% longer than a standard powder coat finish.

The environment this test creates is much harsher than anything you'll ever experience in your journeys, but it provides a testament to how well this jack resists rust and corrosion.

How to Determine the Lift Capacity You Need in a Jack

A trailer jack lifts your trailer high enough at the tongue to allow you to couple it with your vehicle. Usually, your tongue weight is about 10-15% of your gross trailer weight (GTW). For example, a 10,000-lb trailer has a tongue weight of 1,000 lbs to 1,500 lbs. To raise the tongue of a trailer this size, you'd need a jack that can handle a static load of no less than 1,500 lbs. And, yes, it's okay to have a jack with a weight rating that is higher than your trailer's tongue weight. In fact, a jack with a higher capacity should operate more efficiently, allowing you to spend less time cranking and more time fishing.

Purchase in July 2024 2nd trip out the black roller grip on the jack handle was missing. I figured simple deal, call let
Someone know they’d send me a new the part and retainer and I’d carry on. Nope etrailer wants whole jack back? ( threw old one away so how does that work?) so reached out to Fulton and spoke with tech service they promised the part to be shipped but has never arrived? Keep trying them back and end up on hold forever until I give up. Emails are not returned. There is no customer service anymore.

Hi Robert, I am so sorry to hear your experience with us has been such a let down. I am going to look into this for you and see if we cant get you some kind of replacement. If you can bear with us for another chance to make this right, be on the lookout for an email.

I have not had my jack installed yet. I thought I might be able to use the existing mounting bracket from my Shelby 5784 jack but it looks like I need to have the old one replaced and have the new mounting bracket welded onto my trailer. Once I get the new one installed, it appears that this will be a great jack.

I had the new jack welded onto the frame of my trailer. The jack works like a champion!

by:

Fit existing Fulton Bracket no welding needed installed in 5 minutes, used the new snap ring supplied. Existing Fulton Jack was 24 years old and rated for 800 lbs. the new Fulton being 1200 lbs makes lifting boat a breeze. Love the idea of a grease zerk for periodic greasing. Thanks etrailer. Your the best.

by:

Used pre existing mount on my 1993 Ranger trailer.

by:

Overall, the jack added to the appearance of the trailer. The jack mounted well onto the original plate bracket, while the included giant size snap ring fit like a glove. A grease zerk added to the quality and life of the jack. The wheel mount caliper needs to be sturdier. Also, the jack position lock pin was 3/8 inch, unlike the original 1/2 inch stock version. Overall rating, 4 out of 5 stars.

I was looking for a boat trailer jack for a 2004 ranger trailer. Had bought two and had to rig them to work but neither lasted very long. Got in touch with about Fulton Jack and watched video of product. After talking to customer service decided which one would work. Bolted right on to my trailer and has worked excellent for a year now. Highly recommend this product.

by:

This replacement Fulton jack was a direct replacement for the original of a different manufacture, a Shelby model 5756.All that i had to do was remove the 2 1/2" snap ring from the original assembly and install the new jack with the new 2 1/2 snap ring provided on the trailer original welded bracket. Customer service was excellent, timely shipping and a fair price. ALL GOOD !

by:

I purchased this jack to replace the one that came on my cargo trailer, 16 ft box, two axle, the original jack is 37 years old, the new jack does not have the ground clearance of the original, I cut the bracket off the new jack and welded it down lower to give me the clearance I needed, other than not being able to find a jack with the clearance I needed (with a wheel) this worked out fine. Jackie the salesperson was very helpful with me, Thank you Jackie.

by:

Fast shipping. Installed on my trailer quickly. The locking pin was smaller than on my old mount. The jack had the bigger hole needed on the left side. I took the pin off my old jack and installed in the left hole. My mounting bracket has holes all 4 corners so this works great. Great product/service by Etrailer. Will come back again.

Still working great. Would buy again if needed.

This is the exact replacement jack that was on my trailer. I couldn't find one locally, but etrailer had it in stock and shipped the same day that I ordered it. They emailed all the information that I needed to track my shipment. It was two business days on the delivery. This is my second purchase from etrailer and all that I can say are great things about them. I would highly recommend etrailer for all your trailer needs.

This is a great replacement jack for our boat trailer, a 1999 Triton TR18. Replaced the original perfectly, without having to change the original welded base. Highly recommended. Got a 'before' and 'after' photo to help show what I mean.

Spoke with customer service and they suggested this Jack for direct replacement of one on my boat trailer. Jack fit perfect. No issues works great once again thanks ER for always steering me in the right direction.

Works great. Didnt have to reweld the backing plate. I was able to use the existing one still on the trailer. Just removed the snap ring and switched out the old with the new.

I've got a JC Tritoon 226 with 6000 lbs. GVWR (Gross vehicle weight rating) and 3500 lbs. Front and Rear GAWR (Gross axle weight rating) trailer. Had to replace the jack because I kept braking the pin turning the gear to pump the jack up. The weight of trailer was more than the jack could handle. Notice the jack had a 500 lb. rating. I been looking for a replacement jack with a welded on plate and snap ring. All I wanted to change was the jack and snap ring. I found the Fulton round with snap ring swivel model FTJ120W0301 with 1200 lbs. rating. Had this new jack installed in 10 minutes and fits just perfect. Could be happier! Great replacement.

Fantastic

by:

The Fulton snap ring weld-on swivel jack was an improved version of what has been on my 1999 MFI trailer for the same year Triton TR21. The old jack was becoming very difficult to crank to the appropriate height regardless of lubrication.

Very easy replacement with a pair of snap ring pliers. Of course I didn't have a pair. [hardware store] has an inexpensive pair $xx that work well enough for this single use installation. Could have reused the old snap ring, but went with the new one included with the jack. Might take you longer to hook up to your tow vehicle than replacing the jack.

Full disclosure: The original order arrived two days after the order was placed. Unfortunately, it was filled incorrectly. Mistakes happen, but etrailer went above and beyond to correct the mistake. Would reorder from etrailer without hesitation.

I really appreciate the time etrailer takes to provide product and installation videos.

by:

Just installed the jack on my utility trailer. It had the weld on back plate which made it a piece of cake to do. I had to relocate my spare tire bracket which was no problem. I also installed a hand winch to use if I needed to pull on a lawnmower. The jack came from etrailer right on time. It's not the first time I bought something from them. Great company. My only regret is it was made in China, wish they would try the USA.

by:

I have a 1997 Eagle boat trailer and I raised the jack up to high and the jack came apart. Since the jack mounting bracket is welded to the trailer I wanted a replacement jack that would mount to the existing bracket. I checked a number of boat related sites with no luck than went to etrailer. I found Fulton jack FTJ12W0301 and I read the reviews and it appeared to be a replacement for old Shelby jack model # 5756A. I ordered the Fulton on Sunday night and it arrived on Thursday afternoon by UPS! You need a good large pair of Snap Ring Pliers and it took about 5 min to install the new jack you get a new snap ring which I used and a mounting bracket which I did not need, the new ring fits fine on the existing mounting bracket. The only thing and the reason I did not give it 5 stars is that the pin that holds the jack in up right or swiveled position is 3/8" diameter and the old Shelby pin is 1/2" so there is a little wobble but should not be a problem, just fortunate to replace the old jack so easily when there was no other way to do it without a lot of work. My F-150 has a trailer ball high of 19" and I jacked the trailer receiver to 24" just did not want to go any higher so I'm good to head to the lake!

by:

Product installed easily over existing mount. Big improvement to the smaller jack I had been using. The jack is on my Sylvansport Go utility trailer. Make sure to use 9” snap ring pliers. Took about 10-15 minutes to remove old jack and install new one. Found etrailer great to work with and very professional and customer oriented. The only improvement I would suggest is to more clearly state the mounting diameters.

by:

Worked great and was a perfect match for my older magnum trailer! Timely delivery too!

by:

Cammi, very professional, knowledgeable and efficient,
I received the correct part needed in a timely fashion.
I’ve used etrailer for other items in the past and will continue to do so in the future.

by:

One of the only online retailers with the EXACT unit I needed to replace a broken jack on a 30-year-old ski boat trailer. I was able to re-use the existing mounting plate and didn't have to do any welding.

by:

Excellent fit, great replacement for old trailer jack. I'm very happy with your product.

  • Upgrade to Replace Fulton Boat Trailer Jack FTJ120W0301
Hi Jared, You can upgrade from the Fulton # FTJ120W0301, and while you mentioned options for an upgrade, there really is just one that is going to work with your bracket, which is the jack you mentioned, the Fulton XLT Boat Trailer Jack # F141132. This is a very nice upgrade though, especially with the outer tubing that has a 1,200 hour salt spray rating, which means it will take a looooooooong time for there to be any type of corrosion on the body. It also has grease zerks which makes...

  • Replacement Tongue Jack For A 2004 Ranger Trail Boat Trailer
I am happy to point you in the right direction. According to the online owners manual for a 2004 Ranger Trailer CF5000 Z20 boat trailer, it uses a 1200 lb Fulton Swing Jack. They do not mention any other specs, but from what I can see, they use a snap ring mount, very similar to the Fulton Round, Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack # FTJ120W0301. This should match the current snap ring, if there is already one welded to the tongue. If not, we have the # FXP10 which has a bolt-on bracket for frames...

We do offer the 2,000LB Jack # TJB-2002S-B which would fit your snap-ring bracket or you could have your bracket replaced with the Fulton # P9012-00 to use the jack you found.

Fulton Snap-Ring Swivel Marine Jack with Fixed Length - 400 lbs Item # F1410050149 would require some modification to fit a 2 x 2 inch frame. It could be done but it would void the jack warranty. I recommend using trailer jack # FTJ120W0301. It comes with a bracket that will need to be welded onto the trailer frame (anywhere it touches the frame).
