This was the third jack for an tandem enclosed cargo trailer that weighs about 7000 pounds loaded. The trailer belongs to a Non-profit living history group of which I am the "Seneschal" which essentially means the guy with the truck big enough to pull the trailer. My responsibilities also include repair and maintenance of all of the gear and the trailer. The original jack was damaged and I had purchased a "speed jack" from another company and installed it last October and did not use the trailer until April of this year. One use and that jack failed. Upon dissection I discovered that the Chinese manufacturer failed to lubricate it and the bearings were rusted and in various stages of disintegration. After a bit of cursing and a bit more internet research I found etrailer. Once I abandoned the idea of a "speed jack" and went with the drop jack, I found that etrailer had what I needed at a competitive price. Calling etrailer lead to a delightful experience rich with excellent customer service with likes of which I have never experienced in my 58 years. I ordered it and was pleasantly surprised when etrailer upgraded my shipping for free. The parts even arrived a day earlier than the upgraded date. I have installed the jack and everything fit as promised. I have attached a picture. I must emphasize that this company has the best customer service that I have ever encountered.

Works great, much smoother lift and ergonomic design than cheap stock jack. Leaves enough clearance with handle retrated to clear the tail gate on my truck.

My trailer came with a 3000lb capacity jack which was fine for regular use, but adding weight distribution and a lot of forward cargo really showed after a year. This replaced the previous BullDog jack incredibly easy. The hardest part was really getting the new one out of the super secure packaging.

From time of order to delivery was four days. It bolted right up to my car trailer without any issues. It cranks up/down with a load with nearly no effort. So far so good. I'll up date after a few more uses if it fails. Seems like a quality piece of equipment for being cheep in price. The one it replaced lasted about eight years and paid $160 for it.

The jack and foot appear to be an exact match to the damaged jack I am replacing. I also appreciate the fast shipping and follow ups by etrailer. Plan to purchase from them again. I will update this review after the new jack has been installed on the trailer.

The hardest part about installing it was taking the old, rusted version off the trailer. I usually prefer side crank handles, but couldn't find the appropriate model/weight limit combo so bought this one instead. I was pleasantly surprised at the easy of which this one cranks up and down. I'm a fan of Bulldog products.

I’m very satisfied with my order, everything arrived in good shape and the quality is great. Look forward to order again.

This product fit seemlessly into the old jack position and the holes allow for some movement. I upgraded from a 2.5k jack to a 5K jack. This jack is much easier and safer than my old jack and I am happy I upgraded.

  • Low Profile Trailer Jack Recommendation for Better Tailgate Clearance
Sounds like you are looking for a lower profile jack for your trailer so that the tailgate of the vehicle does not interfere with it. I went to our warehouse and was able to locate an a-frame jack that measured less than 12 inches from the bracket up. The Bulldog Round A-Frame Jack, # BD155032, comes in just under 11-1/2 inches which included the handle. I have attached a picture to illustrate the measurement. This a-frame jack has a lift capacity of 5,000 pounds and mounts to any...

  • Short A-Frame Trailer Jack to Avoid Interference with Lowered Tailgate on Toyota Tacoma
The shortest A-frame jack we have available is the Bulldog Round # BD155032, which measures just a tad over 10 inches from the mounting bracket to the top of the jack. We do not have an A-frame jack that measures 8 or fewer inches from the bracket to the top of the unit. Another possible solution to avoid interference between your Tacoma's tailgate and jack is to simply use a longer ball mount to move the trailer further back from the truck when hooked up. • Recommendation for a Powered A-Frame Trailer Jack
For a Bulldog A-frame trailer jack like # BD155032, or a similar jack, there is not an electric conversion available. For a powered A-frame jack, the highest capacity we carry is a 5,500 pound model # UF38-944055. Since it will be at the front of the trailer, all of the trailer weight will not be on it, just the tongue weight of the trailer. Provided the tongue weight of your trailer does not exceed 5,000 pounds, this jack will work. I have incldued a link to an FAQ article that shows...

  • Which A-Frame, Top Wind Trailer Jack is Shortest from Mounting Bracket to Top of Jack
The A-frame, top wind jack that has the shortest distance is going to be the Bulldog jack you referenced, # BD155032. From the mounting bracket to the top is a little over 10 inches (10.2). Another possible solution is to use a longer ball mount to move the trailer further back so the tail gate can lower without hitting the jack. We have some very long ball mounts, see link, some of which have a distance of 16 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole.

  • Replacement A-frame Jack for 1997 Dutchman Popup Camper with 1-3/4
I spoke with my contact at Bulldog Trailer Jacks and he said you should not have to file the opening of your camper tongue. A standard sized jack, like # BD155032, which you referenced, should fit easily into the factory opening. The bolt hole pattern on the mounting bracket and the bolt hole pattern on your A-frame trailer tongue are standard, so matching up with the holes should not be a problem. • Side Mounted Trailer Jack Recommendation for a Trailer for Good Ground Clearance
From the pictures I found of your 2016 r-pod 178 trailer it looks like you have an A-frame jack like the part # BD155032 that you referenced. If ground clearance is a problem with this jack one solution you have would be to replace the jack with one that attaches to the side of the trailer frame and can swivel. • Recommended A-Frame Trailer Jack for 7,000 lb Flat Deck Car Trailer
The issue you are facing in finding what you desire is that the 2 inch outer diameter tube is standard for the inner tube of a trailer jack. • Electric Jack Recommendation for an A-Frame Trailer that weighs 10,000 lbs
We don't have exactly what you are looking for, but it sounds like you would rather have a powered jack like the part # HT87247. The only thing is this is a 4,500 lb jack, meaning that it can lift a tongue weight of 4,500 lbs which in most cases is way more than what a-frame trailers will have. Your 10,000 lb trailer would most likely have a tongue weight of 1,000-1,500 lbs. I attached a review video for this jack as well.
