How does this tongue jack travel? Does it fold up to fit trailer frame?

Great question, Suzanne!
The Ultimate Trailer Jack # UJ44FR is designed to simply adjust all the way up for storage using the spring-loaded lever when you're ready for travel. This gets the wheel completely off the ground and high enough to avoid any clearance issues. That lever I mentioned makes this maneuver super quick and easy, too.
This is different than similar jacks that actually swing/fold up and out of the way, becoming parallel with the trailer frame. I attached a picture to give you a better idea of how this particular one works.

I own 2 of these jacks without the wheel A frame mount and 1 side mount with wheel they are an excellent jack. I purchased the side mount for an enclosed utility trailer so the truck tailgate could be opened with trailer attached. I found the wheel hung too low and would drag over large dips at entrances. to resolve this issue I sawed off the wheel and bracket and used a wheel and bracket that was removable. works perfect now, unfortunately this side mount is only available with the wheel. if I needed another I would do the same thing. try the one with a wheel and see if if works for you. If not get out the hacksaw.
