Owned for 1 year, it has been reliable and no issues. Happy about the availability of various drop sizes. I’m not sure that the cushion makes a huge difference on light trailers. I have one of these for my boat and I think it makes a bigger difference than for my light snowmobile trailer. 605434

I love this hitch! It took 100% of the annoying trailer bumping and tugging that you feel when pulling a trailer. I have a 2012 tahoe and pull a 1000 pound trailer frequently, after getting this hitch I sometimes forget im pulling a trailer. 460351

I use this hitch when I pull my horse trailer to make the stop/start transitions as smooth as possible for the horses in the back. It works great. I also love that its a category IV hitch. Really heavy duty. My truck sits pretty high, and the amount of drop - 8" is perfect. I never worry about hitch failure travelling with my horses - they're a heavy load, and any failure would be a disaster. E Trailer provided excellent service, and their shipping to Canada was prompt and hassle free. Way to go guys, keep up the great work! 335213

I wanted my truck and cargo trailer to ride level. This drop down hitch worked perfect. The cushioned trailer hitch receiver was an added benefit. The UPS tracking feature was fun to watch as the package traveled from town to town. I will give you folks an A+++ for quality and service. Thanks for the personal touch in your E-mail inquiry. Awesome Possum 321557

  • Cushioned 8 inch Drop Ball Mount Recommendation
I attached a help article on how to pick out the correct rise/drop ball mount so that you can tow your trailer level. For an 8 inch drop ball mount Cushioned part # AMSC8 would be a great choice. The customers who have reviewed this ball mount all love it so I am confident you will too. For a 2 inch ball you would need the part # 40038, for a 2-5/16 inch ball part # C40007, and for a 1-7/8 inch ball part # 19260.

  • Recommended Ball Mount for 2007 Jayco Seneca Class C MH Towing Tow Dolly
You'll want to have a look at the owner's manual for your 2007 Jayco Seneca 34SS Class C motorhome to make sure it has the required towing capacity for the weight of your S10 pickup plus the weight of the tow dolly. Since the MH has a V8 turbo diesel you should have the towing rating you need but it is wise to make certain that both the MH and the attached hitch have the required capacity. There should be a sticker on the hitch that indicates its capacities. You'll want to select a ball...

Yes, you can use this Cushioned Ball Mount 6-3/4 inch Rise or 8-inch Drop, part # AMSC8, on your 2007 Tahoe OEM hitch, as long as it is a 2-inch receiver and the rise or drop matches up with your trailer height. • Recommendation to Help Back and Forth Movement in Trailer Hitch While Towing
To help alleviate the back and forth chucking you are experiencing with your 2 inch receiver there are a couple of things I recommend doing. First is to use a cushioned ball mount, the Convert-A-Ball, which is designed to reduce this type of movement and additional road shock with its polyurethane cushioning interior; if you take a look at the accompanying diagram it displays the cushioned inside of the ball mount. I will list the different rise and drop available for this ball mount below....

Curt offers dual hitch receiver # D-192 but it does not have a drop. It is rated for 3,500 pounds gross towing weight and 350 pounds tongue weight. But using it will reduce the tongue weight capacity of the hitch by 50 percent. I would normally recommend going with # D210 but it only has a 2-1/4 inch drop. Another option is to use a ball mount with 8 inch drop # AMSC8 with a bike carrier such as # S64664. But this may or may not work depending on how far it is from the face of the...

  • How to Pick Out Ball Mount for 2014 Toyota Sienna Towing Boat Trailer
I wasn't able to find the coupler height of the trailer you are interested in so your best option would be to contact who you are buying it from and have them measure from the ground to the bottom of the coupler lip with the trailer level. If you compare that 12 inch figure to the coupler height you get for your trailer you'll...

The cushion inside of the Convert-A-Ball cushioned ball mount # AMSC4 would have only a slight affect on the surge coupler on your trailer. You may not even notice it.
