Hello everybody, this is Jeff at etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a look at the Trimax Razor Aluminum Ball Mount for two inch hitches. Has a 10 inch drop and an 8,000 pound gross towing weight capacity. Now this ball mount will let you hook up your trailer to your tow vehicle. The solid shank right here is what'll slide into your vehicle's two inch hitch receiver and it'll secure to your hitch receiver using a five eights inch diameter pin and clip or a hitch lock. Now those items are not included.
We do sell those separately on our website. This ball platform provides the mounting point right up front here for your hitch ball. Again, the hitch ball is sold separately. You do wanna make sure to get a hitch ball that'll fit a ball hole diameter right here of one inch. And this ball mount, you can see, offers a drop of 10 inches.
And that drop is measured from the top of the shank to the top of the ball platform. It is a fixed design, so it gives you the exact drop you're gonna need. Now this is also available in a two inch, four inch, six inch, or eight inch drop. This ball mount is built from 100% forged aluminum so it won't corrode over time and it is a solid aluminum construction, so it makes it very easy to handle without the excess weight. Again, the weight rating, which is stamped on the front here of 8,000 pounds, maximum tongue weight of 800 pounds.
Last thing I wanna give you is the length and the length on a ball mount is always measured from the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole. So basically if we just go from the center of the ball hole to the center, or the center of the hitch pin hole to the center of the ball hole, it's gonna be right about 11 inches for the length. But that's gonna do it for a look at this Trimax Razor Aluminum Ball Mount for two inch hitches with the 10 inch drop.
