It's the right rise for my trailer, it's lighter and it won't rust. Already tried and works perfectly. Very impressed with the product and the company, and their shipping, it was right on time. Nice people to deal with and will again, thanks so much.

I use this with a 1" rise ball on my 2013 F150's front hitch to get enough distance from the front bumper and correct height.

Perfect ball mount for my 2019 Kia Sorento which has a low hitch, so finding a good 7" rise was essential. Nice lightweight, well made ball mount. On top of that great customer service, followed my order and made sure I received this in time for our next camping trip!

Got this for Sienna minivan b/c hitch is very low (10.5" from ground) and kind of deep under the rear bumper. This ball mount is long enough to (barely) clear the bumper, which is fantastic. I didn't want to have to use an extender.

The Trophy Ball Mount 7" rise, 8" drop has been awesome. I always have had stainless steel and steel ball mounts in the past. I was quite surprised at the capacities and have been extremely happy with how lightweight it is. Due to a vehicle change and different height in hitch, we had to get a larger drop in order for the trailer to be level. I was dreading working with a large steel drop hitch due to the weight, I'm so happy I found this Brophy aluminum one on ETrailer.

ONE YEAR LATER!!! I love this ball mount. It is solid, it looks good (who cares?), it lifts the ball on my Durango to exactly the correct height. Towed a 5.8' trailer from WA to TX and the trailer trailed like a dream. BUY THIS if you need a lift.

Review from a similar Reversible Ball Mount in Trailer Hitch Ball Mount

This is quite a nice hitch, but noticed it is quite loose when put in the standard 2" hitch receiver on my Subaru. May need to figure out a way to shim it up, so it does not rattle....Maybe etrailer has some ideas. Good looking ball mount though, no denying that....just wish it had a snug fit!!

Comments
We do have several anti-rattle options that would snug this ball mount in your receiver hitch that I have linked below for your reference. Since yours is a solid shank the sleeve style would be best for your application. My recommendation would be one of the u-bolt styles like the Brophy # RSCP
Brophy Stabilizer Clamp and U-Bolt for 2" Hitch Receiver - Black Powder Coated Steel
$36.18
or the Roadmaster Quiet Hitch # RM-061
Roadmaster Quiet Hitch for 2" Trailer Hitches
$26.60
. I have linked those for your reference and the options that we have for sleeve style anti-rattle devices for a 2 inch hitch.

Review from a similar Reversible Ball Mount in Trailer Hitch Ball Mount

Great looking product and fast service as usual. Now I can keep it clean and stored under my seat without the grease and rust issue. The ball mount with the 2" Brophy stainless ball and the Master Lock Pivot Hitch pin work perfect. Thanks, Garland R in Kentucky...…….

Review from a similar Reversible Ball Mount in Trailer Hitch Ball Mount

I just received this receiver hitch today & have not used it. I have been using the same typ but in a 1" rise for a year or so & I like it's light weight but I needed a bit more rise. so this 3' rise model should work even better for me.

Perfect for my Tahoe. I have a 2019 Tahoe LS 4x4 with the max tow package. The receiver is mounted higher than than on the truck it replaced. Six inches of drop appears to be just about right for my boat trailer.

Review from a similar Reversible Ball Mount in Trailer Hitch Ball Mount

I really like this mount, as a matter of fact I own 3 different sizes of this mount. It's beautifully made, strong as an ox, no sharp edges or ugly bends. As mounts go this is a work of engineering art.

Review from a similar Reversible Ball Mount in Trailer Hitch Ball Mount

Overall the product looks good, fair pricing, average delivery. I am a little disappointed with how loosely it fits into my receiver. My truck is a brand new 2018 GMC Sierra. You can wiggle the hitch quite a bit, I hope this problem will not be too noisy. It can only get worse with time and wear, especially since it is Aluminum. I saw this complaint on some other reviews. The product needs to be made a little larger. You can always take material off easier than you can add material.

Comments
Robert, Thank you for your review. Some of the 2018 GMC Sierra 2500 and 3500s have a factory 2-1/2 inch. This brophy ball mount part # EA40 is designed for a 2 hitch. If you have a 2-1/2 hitch the closest ball mount we have to the rise, and length that is needed is part # 45123
Titan Ball Mount for 2-1/2" Receivers, 3-1/2" Rise, 5" Drop, 16-1/2" Long - 13K
$68.82
. This Reese ball mount has 3-1/2 inch rise, 5 inch and is 16- 1/2 inches long. It is rated at 13,000 lbs. If you are not sure what size factory hitch you have I have attached a link to help you measure. If it turns out you do have a 2 inch hitch, I would recommend an anti-rattle such as part BX88224. The blue ox immobilizer will tighten up the connection between the ball mount and hitch receiver to help quiet the rattle.

  • 8 Inch Drop Ball Mount with Longer Shank for Attachment of Towing Bike Rack
For a longer 2 inch ball mount that has 8 inches of drop the Brophy part # EA80 would most likely be your best option. This ball mount has 4-1/8 inches from the center of the hitch pin hole to the beginning of the bend in the ball mount. Or for a steel ball mount with 4 inches you would want the # AMSC8.

  • Gooseneck Trailer Compatibility with 1995 Ford F-150
The Brophy Ball Mount - 7" Rise, 8" Drop - 15-1/4" Long - Aluminum - 8,000 lbs # EA80 is only rated for a tongue weight of 800 lbs which most trailer hitch receivers won't be able to handle but most gooseneck trailers will exceed. Gooseneck trailers typically use the 2-5/16 inch hitch ball like # SC30-C that is also the size used with larger bumper pull trailers, however it is not recommended to tow a gooseneck trailer behind your bumper as they are designed to be towed over the rear axle...

  • Hitch & Ball Mount for 2002 Jeep Wrangler to Clear Spare Tire
You can avoid clearance issues between your 2002 Jeep Wrangler's rear-mounted spare tire and your towing ball mount by using a ball mount long enough that will extend past the rear edge of the tire. The 2-inch hitch I suggest for your 2002 Jeep Wrangler Unlimited is Curt # 13408. This is a no-drill bolt-on installation. When we installed a Class III hitch on your vehicle we found that the distance from the hitch pin hole to the rear of the spare tire was 6-1/4-inches. Once it is installed...

  • Ball Mount Recommendation for a 2014 Toyota Sienna to Tow a Boat Trailer Level
Since the coupler height on the trailer is 18 inches and the receiver height on the 2014 Toyota Sienna is 11-1/4 inches a ball mount with a 4 inch rise will not be high enough to tow the trailer level. You would need a ball mount with a 6-3/4 inch rise (or something very close) to tow the trailer level. Let's first make sure we measure things the same way. We measure the receiver height the same as you have done; to the top of the receiver opening. On the trailer side, with the trailer...

  • Recommended Ball Mount With 7 Inches of Rise for a 2012 Hyundai Sante Fe
The Draw-Tite Ball Mount # 2793 does have the needed 7 inches of rise, but from the center of the pin hole to the closest edge of the upright gusset is only 3 3/4 inches, so I don't think it will work with your vehicle, unfortunately. That being said, we do have a couple other options available for you. The Brophy # EA80 has the needed 7 inches of rise, but at the closest point it is 4 1/8 inches to the center of the pin hole. This does rise pretty quickly and may still work for you,...

  • Ball Mount Extension or Extended Ball Mount For Curt Clamp-On Bike Rack
If you put on a Hitch Extender # HE06 you will reduce your trailering capacity to 350lbs tongue weight and 3,500 total trailer weight. Most of the receiver extensions with that much rise include a gusset for strength that may prevent the Curt Clamp-On 3 Bike Rack # C18013 from fitting properly. One that you can consider is the Brophy Ball Mount # EA80. It has no gusset but the design may not allow it to work. I have included a picture with the mount measurements for you to compare with...
