Video Transcript for All You Need to Know About the Timken Replacement Trailer Wheel Bearing

Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Timken replacement 14125A trailer wheel bearing. This is a high quality tapered roller bearing that's gonna replace bearing for your hub. You can see the hub numbers that this is gonna work with on your screen there. So if you have any of those, you can trust this is going to fit right in place of the current roller bearing that you have there to make sure that everything's gonna move smoothly for you. Now this is a Timken product and if you're not familiar with the Timken name, it is one of the most well known and highly trusted brands in the industry because their products are engineered with higher quality controls which ensures tighter tolerances and runout than your other manufacturers.

So that's gonna help reduce your vibrations and noise and lead to a longer bearing life when you have it properly installed. That higher quality is even evident in the way the product is packaged. They do come individually packaged and oiled so that when you receive it, it's in really good condition ready for you to get it installed. Now of course, it is very important that you make sure you're getting the right bearing for your setup. So you can see this does have the industry standard number on it there, that 14125A number.

So if you see any of those numbers on the races that you have, that will also work.

And then the third option, which it's not the most ideal, but you can also measure your inner diameter here. And it's a very precise measurement. So it's highly recommended that you use some digital calipers like we have here. So if I turn these on, you can see on our inner diameter there, we're looking at 1.250 of an inch. So that is gonna go down to the thousands.

So you wanna make sure that you've got a nice, precise fit. And then if all those work for you, you can trust this is going to fit right in place of that original and it is gonna be that Timken high quality, so it will perform well for you and last you a nice long time as well.
