Enclosed Trailer equipment racks feature a hook design at the top of the rack that allows them to hang from the metal frame runner at the top of the side walls on the trailer for added strength. They are pre-drilled so that they may be screwed securely to the wall. The unique and durable "Hammered" paint finish will last for many years.

Today, we'll be taking a look at the Rackem Spare Tire Rack for Enclosed Trailers, part number RA-16. This rack features a unique and durable hammered paint finish, and it will last for many years. It allows you to securely transport spare tires in your enclosed trailer. You have multiple attachment points. The multiple attachment points allow you to adjust the height of your spare tire or carry an additional tire. Additional holders are sold separately with part number RA-16HST. Now that we've gone over some of the features of the rack, let me show you how to get this installed into your trailer.
As you can see, we've got a nice, large hook here. Typically, for the rounded-top enclosed trailers, that's going to be made to go right over the top edge here into that frame runner or that rail that runs up and down. Now, in our case, we're using a flat-top, so right behind this board, we've got wires that run the length of the trailer, and we certainly wouldn't want these coming over there getting into our wires. Plus, you can see it's not the thickest plywood in the world that they've used, so what we've done, we've taken the 2x6. You can see it here.
We've beveled the back side of it, and that allows for a perfect fit when our rack inaudible 00:01:20 just slid down on top. Let's just take our screws and start putting them in. Please keep in mind the hardware is not provided. We're now going to remove the wing nut from the stud. Slide the spare tire over the bracket. As we do that, we'll want to place our bolt through one of our wheel stud holes.
We can then replace the washer and tighten down the wing nut to hold our spare in place. That will complete today's look at the Rackem Spare Tire Rack for Enclosed Trailers, part number RA-16. .
