Video Transcript for Replacement Trailer Hub Bearing Review

Today we're going to review part number 14125A. This is an Axle Tek replacementtrailer wheel bearing. This is an outer wheel bearing. These replacement bearings arehigh quality, tapered, roller bearings, designed for high speed use. All bearings havean industry standard number stamped on them, regardless of the brand. When you go to replace your trailer bearings, what you would want to do isnormally look on the inner ring of your bearing.

There should be a number stampedthere. For this one it would show 14125A, which is the part number. Yourbearing might be a different brand where it has a different number. If you could justgive us the part number, we can cross-reference it to get you the correct trailerbearing. If you do not have the part number off the bearing, the other way to getit would be to measure the inside diameter of the bearing, on the inner ring right here.To do that correctly, you do need to use a digital caliper, to be able to measure itinto a thousandth of an inch, because that measurement is listed in thousandths of aninch, so a ruler or a tape measure would not work.

What you'd want to do is justmeasure this inner diameter of the bearing. For this one it would be 1.250. This bearing does consist of three parts, basically. The cone or the inner ring is what slidesover the spindle, the roller bearings themselves which will roll, and then they are heldin with a roller retainer or a cage, which holds the bearings in place. Forlubrication, most wheel bearings will use a grease, some of them would use an oil.

There is one other piece that is required for this, and that is the race, the bearingrace. The race would be the part that is normally pressed into the hub, and that wouldgive a spot to where when the bearing is inserted, it would rotate on that bearing race. Now, for this bearing part number, the correct race, which is sold separately, would bepart number 14276. The outer diameter is the critical measurement on the race, and on that part number would be 2.717. That should do it for a review on part number 14125A.

  • Correct Replacement Grease Seal For 7000lb Lippert Axle
I reached out to my contact at Lippert and based on the NV 248685 your 7000lb Lippert axle uses inner bearing # 25580, outer bearing # 14125A, and grease seal # GS-2250DL. Now this grease seal has a 2.250" I.D. which is the same as the seal you purchased, so I do not have a good answer to why yours is not fitting as that is what your axle was designed to use. I was unable to find an order through us so I recommend double checking the dimensions of the seal you ordered to make sure it...

  • Will The DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit # DE66AR Fit A 2020 Keystone Montana 3121RL
Hi Kendal, There unfortunately is a guide available to us to see what bearings and seals fit your trailer's spindle so you'll need to remove one of the hubs and look for their part numbers. If you don't want to trash the grease seal to get to the inner bearing or the part numbers are already worn off then you can also just measure the spindle at points B, C, and D with a caliper # PTW80157. The DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Tandem Axle Trailers # DE66AR uses the following bearings...

  • Timbren Silent Ride and Disc Brake Kit Recommendation for Lippert 7k Axles
The Timbren Silent Ride 7k system part # TSR7000T05 would be a great solution that doesn't quite break the bank like the MorRyde would. Then for a disc brake kit you'd want the part # K2HR712D which is a 7k kit that will fit your Lippert 7k axles well. You will also need the bearings part # 25580 and # 14125A for each hub and then seals too as part # RG06-070. This is a Dacromet coated setup which will fight corrosion well.

Hey Guy, While I can't answer that directly as I don't know what axles you have, I can tell you how to figure out if the right kit for you is the DeeMaxx Disc Brake Kit w/ Actuator for Tandem Axle Trailers # DE66AR. What it comes down to is knowing the bearing numbers; you will need to take apart your current hub assembly and look at the bearings themselves; wipe away the grease and you should be able to see the part number stamped directly on them. • Need 8-Lug Brake Drum For 2005 Keystone Montana
Hello Alan, thanks for reaching out. We likely will have a brake drum that will fit your trailer, but I do not have a way to accurately recommend a drum based on the info from the backing plate you provided. The numbers you provided indicate a Dexter 6,000 lb or 7,000 lb axle with a 12"x2" drum which does help to narrow it down quite a bit, but there are a few more pieces of info I will need.
