Hole for hand-screw was not completely drilled out and the threads tapped completely through. Screw started properly and turned easily for the first few turns, then it got very hard to turn before contacting the wedge. Screw had to be removed and hole chased out with a 3/8" tap before it could be used. Poor quality control during manufacture!
I like these but I would have given them 4.5 stars if possible and I'll explain below. The shipping was fast. They arrived in good shape. Right out of the box the construction didn't inspire confidence, these are lightweight. They slide on horizontally to the OEM mirror & fit snuggly, then a wedge is tightened in place between the tow mirror and the OEM mirror to prevent the tow mirror from sliding back off.
The tow mirrors are easy to install and from a short distance look better than some of the other "clamp-on" styles. A plus!
I have tried these a couple of times at speeds of up to 80mph (we can do that in Idaho), and yes, I don't plan to tow a trailer that fast but a strong headwind would easily exceed an 80 or 90mph effective speed. (we get that in Idaho too) During the tests they performed well, never loosened, no noticeable vibrations in the view. I was impressed.
Overall, I would buy these again and recommend to a friend.
Driver side mirror lock component "wedge" did not fit correctly , approx 1/2 " space between mirror and wedge ,was able to make accommodations. Passenger side fit well.
I had the mirrors for about four months and one of the mirrors just fell off was not happy. Obviously it shattered on the ground. The adhesive is very cheap on them called customer service. They sent me out a new one, but was told this happens quite often with those. I think the adhesive Hass to be better.
Easy enough to mount but haven’t used them for towing yet. They do improve & extend my side view so objective achieved.
To say they are are custom fit is a push. Top part of frame extends 1 1/2 inches beyond top of factory Mirrors, distracting from appearance (see photo). Just not contoured well for the standard 2022 Silverado mirror. I’ll try trimming the excess at my shop for better appearance.
That said, very pleased with etrailer website & delivery of the product. Ordered on Tuesday, product delivered on Friday. Great service which is unusual lately! I’ll check with etrailer for my needs going forward.

I use these mirrors only when towing my boat but they work great & allows me to change lanes as needed.. easy on & off, stable & do not detract from the appearance of the tow vehicle. I would buy them again.
Mirrors worked very well on our 2 week trip to the mountains and shorter trips closer to home. Had great service and fast shipping from e trailer as usual....
They fit nicely and have good visibility

The mirrors work great and are easy to take on and off. My review would have been 4 or 5 stars but the drivers side glass fell out and broke while parked in the drive way.
These are my third set of CIPA mirrors per different vehicles They are great easy to install best of all no vibration going down the road Don’t waste your money on any other towing mirrors

this is my second set. first set was for 2016 silverado.. these fit perfect.
not suprised or disappointed.. no shake or vibration. best extension mirror on the market....
Mirrors are a bit long, but functionally they should work well. I might do a bit of creative work to make them look a bit better. The drivers mirror is about a half inch long where the wedge is, which is odd because the passenger mirror fits great. I will need to figure out a shim to make it fit the drivers mirror properly.
I purchased a set for my 2014 Ford F-150 not long after acquiring a RV traIler. They were a custom fit with no vibration. The wedge fit perfectly in the molded slot and the thumb screw held the wedge in place in the right area, with the right pressure against the mirror. They were easy to install/remove and looked like a factory mirror. Move forward- I bought a 2021 Chevrolet Silverado 1500 and needed extension mirrors. Because I liked the CIPA mirrors for my Ford, I purchased a set for the new Chevy. The description and video stated it would be a custom fit. I’m not impressed! They fit as well as my 8.5 shoe size fits in an NBA players size 15 shoe. The packaging gives a set of years in which they will fit (2019-2022). So they aren’t custom? The mirrors are to wide and to long for the factory mirrors. The neoprene adhesive is not long enough to cover the wedge per instructions. The wedge does not have a molded slot to slide into but rather is “free floating” against the factory mirrors. The thumb screw has a hard time lining up with the slot in the wedge and because the CIPA mirror is to long for the factory mirror, the wedge and pressure from the thumb screw is at the very edge of the factory mirror. Again not impressed. I would not recommend these CIPA towing mirrors for a late model Chevrolet Silverado 1500.
Mirrors fit very tight. It takes some patience to install and position the tightening piece to fit properly. Once installed mirrors were very stable, with little shake. Mirrors look sharp on new Chevy.
Great fit and looks great.. I have used this product on my older 2015 Chevrolet so no problem with my 2020 Silverado.
They fit well just a bit tricky to get the wedge in place.
Delivery was very quick. I had a question and customer service was very helpful. They installed easily and look great!
I own a 2020 Silverado RST. Right out of the box, the mirrors slide on easy and fit the stock mirrors well. The stock mirrors are manual folding, heated, and power adjusted on the drivers door. No Turn Signal or puddle lights. Snug and secure even before I installed the wedge. I found a easy way to install the mirror, slide on, fold back against truck. Using a flashlight , (to see thru the treads where the screw goes into), then slide wedge in and tighten. Haven't had a chance to drive with them on while trailering, will keep you posted. Overall first impression nice product.

i reached out to the manufacturer and found that GMC designed some trucks where the drivers side mirror is one half inch shorter than the passenger side. This is rare and there have only been a few cases that the manufacturer had heard from. I was advised that it is fixable by taking the wedge off and reinstalling it in one half inch further into the tow mirror housing so that it takes up that one half inch of space. Or for the 2021 GMC Sierra 1500 there is another set of mirrors part # KS80930 that are a snap on set of mirrors that will work even with the shorter drivers side mirror.
