Hey Roger, welcome back! For your 2017 Forest River Class C on the Mercedes-Benz Sprinter 3500 chassis, I'd recommend the CIPA Universal Clamp-On Towing Mirrors # CM11980-2.

These clamp securely to the factory mirrors and add a 7-1/2" wide x 4-5/8" tall mirror surface for a much better view down the sides of your coach. They also telescope out for additional visibility, so you can fine-tune the view depending on what you're towing. Since there aren't custom-fit towing mirrors made for the Sprinter 3500, these universal CIPA mirrors are one of the best options for improving rearward visibility without permanently modifying your factory mirrors.

@RogerO Yea that's mainly because there aren't any custom fit mirrors for a sprinter van. The mirrors I recommended are universal so they can work with virtually any factory side mirror.

The mirrors do work actually well. I use them on my 2024 Toyota 4 runner. Follow the instructions, tighten them with your fingers still you can’t. Drive a little bit, stop and check, tighten them again if they have loosened. Then you’re good to go. Check again when you stop for a break. Bumpy roads you may want to check often. I have only lost one in the 3-4 years I have been using them. They fit well and do the job. Roger H. Orangevale Ca

I've had these for a couple of years and lost one twice. If they aren't put on just so, tightened, and retightened as you travel, you'll lose one or both. I found some that use a strap that's much better and easier to put on and take off.

I bought a pair for my Chevy Express van. I would say similar things that others have posted here...make sure the connectors are TIGHT. I lost one (fortunately not damaged) when a semi going the opposite way on a 65mph two lane road "sucked" the driver's side mirror off my van. Had to go quite a way down the road before I could turn my van+trailer combo around to go see if I could find the mirror and it was ok. You need about 1/4" between your vehicle's mirror housing and it's mirror to fit the tow mirror clamps. Mirror coverage is good, you can orient the glass either vertically or horizontally. Same with the mounting arm, though I would say how you mount them to your vehicle mirror housing is somewhat dependent on the shape and design of that housing.

They worked good the first couple of times, although I must have failed at tightening them down because I lost one on the way home earlier this spring.
