Installation Step 2

2. Reach around behind the tire and fasten the ends of the chain together.

Installation Step 3

3. Move back to the front of the tire and fasten the ends of the chain together using the built-in lever.

Installation Step 4

4. Drive forward a bit and tighten the chain as needed by moving the hook to the next link.

You can use rubber or chain adjusters (sold separately) to increase the tension on the chains for a tighter fit.

How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle

To choose the right snow chains, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

Tire size on sidewall

185/60-15

  1. (185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
  2. (60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
  3. (15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches

2021 Ram 1500

Needed these chains for a snowboarding trio this December. Installed them in my yard to make sure they fit, and figure out which link worked best. Now that i know what link to use, next time it should only take sbout 10 min to put them on. I really like how they stay away from my wheels so should not scrstch them. My yard was very soft from recent rain and you can see how well the chains dig into the mud. Should be really good on snow/ice.

Good chains!

by:

These chains worked perfectly . Used them on my Tacoma and was able to drive some snow and ice covered non-plowed state forest roads without issue. They were easy to install and remove.

by:

Easy to put on. Transformed my truck from not being able to drive at all in the snow to unstoppable!

by:

Phenomenal customer service--Lynn was the best. Order arrived early.. Great quality heavy duty long lasting steel. Nice carry case. Will order from this company again!

by:

Fantastic customer service. Ordered on a Friday afternoon, received by Tuesday, left to a snowy camp on Thursday. Chains did not list my tire size on the bag but included them on the website. Tried the sizing before I left home and they fit perfectly. Received almost 2 feet of snow and chained the fronts and backs in order to pull a 30' trailer up a nasty forest road. Chains were easy to put on and worked like a dream. Totally recommended, especially for the price.

Comments
Chains fit great and are easy to throw on in a snowy or muddy pinch.

I havent had a chance to use them yet but I followed the instructions and they went on as advertised. The quality appears to be good

by:

So I bought these for my 2 wheel drive Suburban for a trip some friends and I make every year to Colorado. This year was the closest we came to using them and when we needed to see how they fit before we ever got stuck they were extremely easy to drive onto and secure. definitely recommend these just for the ease of use and felt confident even in a storm we could get these on and continue on.

by:

perfect fit!

by:

When I need them, these chains work great. Easy to get on and off and provide excellent traction. I also found E trailer to provide great service, placing, receiving the order and following up to be sure product meets expectations.

by:

My order of tire chains came quickly and the quality is good. Thank you,
Mark

I had to call in to find out what tire chains were in stock. Otherwise I would have to wait until summer to get them. Very happy with what they sent me.

by:

Great chains perfect fit on my 2018 f-150. Super fast delivery . Just a dry fit to make sure before hunting season.

by:

2nd set of chains bought through etrailer. Same excellent service as I experienced the first time. Highly recommended.

by:

I was more than satisfied with this product, easy to install and lived up to expectations. I would definitely recommend

Product arrived as promised. Titan chains are just what we needed. We won't be using these until October/November here in the high country so a little too early to provide a review on the quality.

I bought tire chains for the new Chevy truck that I just bought. I purchased the chains for piece of mind, just in case I ever needed to continue down the muddy/snowy road. To this date, I have only installed the chains once. While in the garage to make sure they fit.

by:
2020 Chevrolet Colorado

These are really good-quality chains. I dinged them one star because I ended up cutting three links (could have cut four) off both the inside and outside. With the TCMA2 rubber adjusters (that I also purchased) the chains seem reasonably snug and should work fine, but they could be a little smaller for my 255 65 17 tires.

by:

They give me awesome traction grip ice better than I would have expected. My 4 wheel drive went out on my truck while I was out ice fishing and I had the chains with and I walked right out of my predicament in 2 wheel drive with the chains on when I feel I would have struggled in 4 wheel drive with no chains.

by:
2014 Ram 1500

Did not fit 275/60R20 as listed on the internet website. The outside chain required two extra chain links to secure the chains. The chains appeared very durable and worked on a short test run tearing up the grass in my yard.

by:

etrailer,
Got the chains about noon
today, and, put them on a spare after a couple of adjustments. They needed a couple links to lengthen them. I'm set for the winter now,and the price was quite reasonable.
Happy Holiday's,

Terry Saunders.

The use of chains on your 2018 Ford F-150 with 275/55-20 tires is slightly complicated. The tire size isn't one that requires special chains approved by Ford, but Ford does give you some parameters. The Class S parameter is recommended by all manufacturers now days because everyone is concerned about liability based on more limited clearances from the inside sidewall of the tire to the vehicle itself. These margins are shrinking over the years which makes the manufacturer want to pass...
