Question:
Chains for mud 10 mph, front wheels, 2020 tundra, 4wd, prescribed tire size 275/65R18, AT? A pair of your mud chains on rear wheels got me out of dangerous mud, but barely, because front wheels could not hold a line, slid sideways downhill. Manual says “no” because of small clearance. What chains remember, MUD COULD work, again very low speed.

Hi Dailey; I can't really recommend using tire chains for the front since the owner's manual says not to. It looks like you have the Titan Chain Mud Service Tire Chains # TC2439 right now with 8 mm (0.312") thick links. There are no Class S chains (designed for low clearance) that will work with the mud or those tires.
Even if there were Class S, you may not have enough clearance based on what the manual says. You can try the # TC2228 or # TC2228CAM with 5.5 mm (0.218") links which would be the lowest profile option that can handle the mud for those tires. However, it will be up to you to determine if they will clear to ensure you don't damage the vehicle with the chains.

Hey Dailey, how did things go with the lower-profile Titan chains you were considering for the front of your Tundra? It would be great to know if they gave you enough clearance and better control in the mud. Your update could make it easier for others facing the same issue.
