Determining Which Tire Chains to Use on Front and Rear Wheels With Limited Clearance

Question:
Ive selected Titan TC2228 with twist links and TC2828 with v-bar links for my 2000 Ford F250 4x4 for off road and on road application on all 4 tires when used in Colorado mountain high elevations with steep grades. Which link design do you suggest for to install on the front and which one for the rear? I have BF Goodrich 285-75-16 ATs and if I turn the front wheels to the max, they rub the inner wheel well WITHOUT chains installed, so I know that I have to be careful not to turn too tight to prevent the chains from contacting the wheel well.

If you are determined to use the Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Ladder Pattern # TC2228 and Titan Chain Snow Tire Chains - Ladder Pattern - V-Bar Links # TC2828 on your 2000 Ford F-250 despite not having enough clearance in your wheel well then it would be a good idea to put the chains with the V-Bars on the rear wheels as opposed to the front, which you said was rubbing the wheel wells. This should help prevent the studded links from causing more damage to your wheel well.
You are also going to need to use two of the Titan Chain Multi-Arm Rubber Tire Chain Adjuster # TCMA2 to ensure you get the tightest fit possible.
I have added links to video reviews of each of these products for you to take a look at.
