Installation Step 1

1. Spread the chain around the back of the tire.

Installation Step 2

2. Connect the yellow and blue cable at the back of the tire.

Installation Step 3

3. Push the cable into place behind the tire and center the cross chains on the tire's tread. Then, on the front side of the tire, join the 2 ends of the yellow side chain using the green hook.

Installation Step 4

4. Feed the silver draw chain with the rubber tensioner through the red channel at the bottom and pull it tight. Then run the tensioner through the red rings. (Note: Depending on your tire size, you might not be able to thread through both rings.) Pull the tensioner across the tire and fasten it to the yellow chain on the opposite side.

Installation Step 5

5. Pull your vehicle forward and retighten the chain.

Class "S" Designation

SAE Class "S" tire chains are designed for use on vehicles with restricted wheel well clearance. Certain newer cars, vans and small trucks, especially those with large, aftermarket tires, may require Class "S" chains.

SAE Class S Clearances

These chains will fit your tires provided there is both:

  • A - a minimum of 1.46" (37 mm) between the top of the tire tread and the wheel well
  • B - at least 0.59" (15 mm) between the tire's sidewall and the vehicle itself.

How to Choose Snow Chains for Your Vehicle

To choose the right snow chain, you must match your tire size. Those measurements can be found on the side of your tire, as shown below.

Tire size on sidewall

  1. (185) - indicates tire width in millimeters
  2. (60) - gives you the aspect ratio (sidewall height as percentage of width)
  3. (15) - denotes the diameter of the wheel rim in inches

I've used these for one season now, and they've worked great. I put them on someone's car who didn't know how to drive with chains, and they spun out trying to get up a steep driveway. Sparks flew, but the chains held together with no damage. So they are apparently very durable. Very simple to install, and at an affordable price point. They come in a nice storage bag as well. I would highly recommend this brand. 485741

Ive recommended these to various people who were concerned about driving up steep hills in snow. I explain how easy it is to avoid sliding with these installed especially when on all 4 wheels to prevent fish-tailing. It makes a 2-wheel drive vehicle even better in snow than a 4-wheel drive. And they are so easy to install. Still highly recommended.

Luckily, I haven’t had to use them. However, I have put them on several times as well as family members. Easiest chains I’ve ever put on. Good clear instructions and online videos! Good tight fit especially for my low clearance application. They’ll leave a mark on asphalt. Lol. 720863

2001 Subaru Outback Wagon

They fit great on my 2001 subaru outback which never leaves the property. We live on a steep drive and needed a safe way to get up and down our gravel drive in the snow and ice. These chains worked great. Now we can drive up and down in a very controlled manner. Very easy to install. Thanks 597837

Great product and easy to set up. Directions are straight forward and you don't have to worry about being in the cold for too long. The case has extra capacity for gloves and etc., and hardly takes up any real estate in the trunk. I have yet the need to use them, but I'm confident they will work great! Service was excellent and fast as well. 471124

OMG - we never used it! I wish we could provide a review for you! We headed up north but the weather cleared and were not required to use them. We can note that they keep very well! 352065

Thank you for your kind follow up. We are so impressed - in this day and age, we never see such commitment to products from a manufacturer. Thank you for that!! I wish we could add more details for you but we still have NEVER used them!!! The last time we went up to Big Bear, the roads were clear and there was no use for them. They seem to be holding well LOL!!. We are not avid ski folks so we dont get up to the mountains that often and our scheduled trip for this year turned out to be a bust - no snow!

Review from a similar Diamond Alloy in Tire Chains

These chains are by far the easiest chains I have ever put on or taken off a truck 10 minutes to put on and five minutes to take off. I am in a wheelchair so getting on the ground is not the easiest thing to do so with these chains taking so little time to put on it is a blessing. No Jack and no running them over to put them on. You may have to drive over them to take them off. Used one set last winter to plow a 6 1/2 mike gravel road and did awesome so I bought a set for the front. 694521

Still running strong. due to my own fault I had to replace 2 links as I spun my tires on bare frozen gravel road . But they are still a amazing chain

Review from a similar Diamond Alloy in Tire Chains

The titan Chain Diamond Lt Alloy Chain-sq Link work great on my 2018 Chrysler Pacifica. It’s been a year since I bought them, and I knew they fit because I practiced at home, but last weekend I used them in the snow for real. Easy to install, not too much vibration while driving, and easy to take off. Bonus: they fit easily back into the case! Never had a set of chains that easy to put away. 733031

Review from a similar Diamond Alloy in Tire Chains

Looking for snow chains for a 4x4 truck with larger tires is no easy task. Working with etrailer team via email, was very smooth and easy, my questions answered. I selected the TC2539 chain set due to the diamond pattern that has better sidewall traction and holding strength for use on off road trails during off camber driving. Upon receipt, I quickly reviewed and sent the team an email asking about the square lug size that I measured vs the stated data on the website. My questions where quickly and professional addressed and resolved. In the era of wanting and needing everything yesterday, and almost every company going away from human contact, etrailers is the pleasant exception with both personal email and telephone contact. This is not my first purchase with etrailers and won't be my last, it was a very nice experience to deal with the team. Rating is on my service contact. I have just received the new chains at the end of the snow season, so haven't yet run these chains. Past chains have been the same style and were great, much quieter on the road than ladder time due to extra contact. Thanks 475732

Review from a similar Diamond Alloy in Tire Chains

I have used these a few times in the snow and ice to be able to tow my 11000 lb fifth-wheel trailer. The provided enough traction to tow my trailer up a 6% hill from where it was parked. (chains on all four wheels 4x4) These are easy to install. I did have an issue when trying to install after getting into some snow. I was unable to get the proper tension and they would come off. Broke a couple of links. They come with a few repair links. Once they are on properly, they are good. This was also while towing the trailer, which is really the only time I need them. 745229

Review from a similar Diamond Alloy in Tire Chains

We purchased some snow chains. We did what was recommended by the etrailers representative, which was to try putting them on the car before we actually got into snow country. We were very glad we took her advice. Coming from California we didn't have any experience in putting chains on, but with the step by step pictures we were able to figure how to put them on in about 1/2 hour. It was very simple. We haven't used them yet, but they look like they will work great. Thanks 152157

Review from a similar Diamond Alloy in Tire Chains

Fit my tire(s) as advertised (that's 4 stars right there). Installed on tires not (yet) mounted on a vehicle. Makes it a bit easier to install, adjust, and tighten. Bought one set to be sure they'd fit, then bought a second for the front tires (4wd). Doing the same for an AWD vehicle as well. Waiting for the inevitable ice storm (or snow), so 4 stars until battle-tested. 458993

  • Recommended Class S Snow Tire Chains for a 2016 BMW 3 Series with 225/45 R18 Size Tires
Tire chains are classified by a letter class to determine how much clearance is required on a vehicle for that particular chain to fit. Since your 2016 BMW 3 Series states, in the owner's manual, to use "fine-link" chains I recommend going with Class S chains, which require the least amount of clearance. I recommend the Titan Chain, part # TC1550, to fit your 225/45 R18 sized tires. These are great chains that don't break the bank and are pretty easy to install. They also don't need...

  • Whats the Difference Between Manual and Assisted Snow Chains
The difference between manual and assisted chains is in how they are tensioned. The method of assisted adjustment may vary from snow chain to snow chain, but the reason for these types of chains is the same. Built-in devices - whether cams or integrated pulls - make fitting and securing your tire chains quick and simple. They will not automatically tighten and align like self-tensioning chains, but they are much faster and easier to install than manually adjusted models. Manually...

You are going to need to follow the link I attached that will take you to a page that has all of the common tire sizes your 2015 Ford Fusion would have. Once you select your size the correct fitting chains will be listed. If available I would recommend you go with a Titan Chain like part # TC1550 that fits a couple of the tires sizes because of how well they work and how easy they install compared to their great price.

  • Recommended Snow Chains for 2014 Honda Accord
Since there are four different stock tire sizes offered on the 2014 Honda Accord your best starting point is a check of your Accord owner's manual. Auto makers get the final word on use of tire chains on their vehicles and it is a good idea to see what Honda says about using chains on your particular vehicle version and tire size. I reviewed an online manual (for the sedan) and it indicated cable-type chains could be used on the front tires only. For example, for a 205/65-16 tire we offer...

There are tire chains available that can fit different tire sizes but the list of these sizes will come from the tire chain manufacturer. I cannot determine what size tires the tire chains will fit with just the tire size you have them on now. I would need to know the part number of the chains that way I can call the manufacturer.
