I have used B&W hitches for many years and I've been very happy with the quality of their products. etrailer makes it easy to shop for these hitches since the B&W site is terrible. I was able to find the correct size and all dimensions were listed clearly. Thanks again!

Ball mount is awesome and super high quality and heavy duty over and above what I will need to tow my 7000 pound car trailer but I like it that way! Great job to everyone involved. My hat is off to the fabricators, made in USA Mount arrived without a nick, perfect weld marks and flawless show quality paint job. I may not even use it, it is that nice. Maybe put it in a display case and start a collection. Fast shipping, 2 days

by:

Product is extremely heavy duty. much more than I will need, but I appreciate quality made is USA products. Etrailer packaging not so great. Box was torn by weight of this item, which caused a chip in the finish of the item.

by:

Really heavy duty solid steel 2 inch square, really thick steel tongue and and tight fitting hole for the ball bolt so little chance of ball rattle or slipping. Nice smooth welding and finish.

by:

It is refreshing to still see American companies selling “Made in USA” quality these days.

by:

heavy solid fits thanks

by:

Solid shaft, weighty, but expecting a long life from it. I'll have to hunt around for someone who has the right tool for getting [torque specs] on the ball, but shouldn't be a big problem. Package tracking was excellent and on time.

by:

Made from solid bar stock. B&W Made in the USA can not go wrong. Thank you Stacy for helping me order this product.

  • Thickness of Hitch Ball Platform of B&W Heavy-Duty Ball Mount
The thickness of the platform the hitch ball sits on is 1 inch for the B&W Heavy-Duty Ball Mount # BWBMHD30011. This ball mount has a 16,000 lb capacity and 1,600 lb tongue weight capacity while giving you either a 1 inch rise or 2 inch drop. To secure it to your hitch you'll need Pin & Clip # PC3. For a hitch ball, depending on the size you need, I recommend either 2" Hitch Ball # C69FR or 2-5/16" Hitch Ball # C40008. I have added a link to a video review for you to check out as well...

  • B&W Trailer Hitch Options for a 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic 2500 with 8 Foot Bed
We don't have a picture but I can tell you that once installed trailer hitch # BWHDRH25187 will have its receiver directly below the bumper and the face of the receiver will be basically flush with the rear bumper. Please note that this hitch is designed to fit a 2007 Chevy Silverado Classic 2500 with an 8 foot bed AND 10 inch step bumper. If the truck has the regular step bumper you would use # BWHDRH25189. It will also be right under the rear bumper and the receiver will be about flush...

I also recommend The 2-5/16 inch Hitch Ball - 1-1/4 inch Diameter x 2-3/4 inch Long Shank - Chrome - 12,000 pounds # 19286, and The Pin and Clip for 2 inch and 2-1/2 inch Hitches - 5/8 inch Diameter x 3-1/4 inch Span # PC3. • Recommended Trailer Hitch Receiver For A 1992 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup
Yes, the B&W Heavy-Duty Trailer Hitch Receiver part # BWHDRH25124 is a confirmed fit for your 1992 Chevrolet C/K Series Pickup as long as you have a factory rear bumper. Depending on your intended uses for the trailer hitch receiver, I recommend using both the B&W Heavy-Duty Ball Mount part # BWBMHD30010 in addition to our T-One Vehicle Wiring Harness with 4-Pole Flat Trailer Connector part # 118315 for a complete towing setup. If the ball mount does not have the correct rise/drop you...

I have included a link to the installation instructions for you and a video showing an example installation on a similar truck. The recommended ball mount is # BWBMHD30010 which has a 1 inch rise or 2 inch drop. If you need a pin and clip use # PC3. For a 2-5/16 inch ball use # 19286. For a 2 inch ball, # A-90 will fit. And if your truck does not have a trailer connector already I recommend...

  • What Length Ball Mount Do I Need To Use?
Longer ball mounts are helpful for creating clearance from the rear of the vehicle to allow you to lower your tailgate while towing and not interfere with a tongue mounted jack or install hitch mounted accessories (like bike racks) that may require more clearance from the rear of the vehicle. The length that you'll want to use really comes down to whether or not you really need an extra 1-3/4" between your trailer coupler and your truck. For all intents and purposes, the # BWBMHD30010...

On B&W trailer hitch # BWHDRH25122 the mounting brackets are oriented the same for all applications. The tabs point in but attach to the bottoms of the frame rails. Modification and/or relocation of the spare tire mounting bracket is going to be a possibility for any of the trailer hitches for your 1970 Ford F-100 styleside with standard bumper. The BandW Heavy-Duty Ball Mount - 1 Rise, 2 - 8-1/2 Long - 16,000 lbs # BWBMHD30010 is very similar tot he Curt Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mount with 2-5/16" Ball - 1" Rise, 2" Drop - 15,000 lbs # C45331 which has the same hitch ball shank dimension of 1-1/4 inches as well as the same rise and drop. • Replacement Hitch Ball to Increase Ball Height
It is always important to keep your trailer level when hitched to your tow vehicle and the two simplest ways to accomplish this are either a high-rise hitch ball such as the two you reviewed, parts # C40033 and # C40034, or a ball mount with the amount of rise you need. Either option will work. The hitch balls you referenced are shown in the linked photo; I have added the dimension above the mounting surface for each ball. Yes, the B and W Heavy Duty trailer hitch part # BWHDRH25132 that you referenced is a confirmed fit for your 1996 Dodge Ram 1500 6 foot bed that has either a standard or step bumper. For a heavy duty hitch with as much capacity as this hitch has you really aren't going to find a better deal. • Are There Any Made in the U.S.A. Heavy Duty Ball Mounts for 2" Receivers Available?
No. While Curt is an American company and manufactures a great deal of their products in the U.S.A., the Heavy Duty Forged Ball Mounts like the # C45340 is not one of those products. If you're looking for a ball mount that is made in the U.S.A., the B&W Heavy-Duty Ball Mount # BWBMHD30010 has a 16,000-lbs capacity and the same 1" rise/2" drop as the Curt model you were looking at.

Good news, I can help you find a hitch that will fit your 1997 Ford E-350 Bus. The fact that this is a bus means that the cab is a Ford E-350 but the chassis is not the same as the standard van chassis.
