Installation
1. Drape the chain over the tire and drive forward 1/2 of a tire revolution. (You can also lay the chain out and then drive onto it.)
2. Reach around to the back of the tire and fasten the rear side cable by running the end with the metal stops through the eye of the hook on the opposite end.
3. Run any excess side cable through the metal clip.
4. Repeat this process on the front side of the tire.
5. Drive forward 1 car length, then check the chain and hand tighten it again if needed.
You can use rubber adjusters (sold separately) to increase the tension on the chains for a tighter fit.
Class S Designation
SAE Class S tire chains are designed for use on vehicles with restricted wheel well clearance. Certain newer cars, vans, and small trucks - especially those with large, aftermarket tires - may require Class S chains.

Robert - 09/07/2020Seem to fit nice and snugly on our 2010 Toyota Sienna with the TCMA1 Tire Chain Adjuster bungees.
These tighteners were purchased as a second, backup pair to those that came with the tire cable set that I purchased on the same order.
The cable tire chains were purchased for a 2016 Honda HR-V to be equipped to travel in the often snow / ice covered highways to and from the ski resorts of Colorado.
I haven't been required to use them yet so I can't comment on their ease of use nor reliability.
I have not used the product yet (with my Subaru Forester I may never have to, just have to carry them in the car to get through the chain zone) but I want to share about the excellent customer service at etrailer.com. I needed cables asap for a trip that was right around the corner and the folks who helped me on the phone found the right product for my vehicle and made sure I got it on time.
