Features to know about

Confident Driving on Icy Roads: Diamond Pattern Keeps Grip Constant

When snow or light ice builds up on the road, these Titan Chain diamond-pattern chains keep your tires gripping evenly with every rotation. The cross-hatch layout delivers constant traction and a smoother ride than the bumpier ladder styles. It’s a great setup for anyone needing steady control on slick pavement or winding mountain roads.

Smooth Ride Without the Jarring Bumps: Square Links Dig In Evenly

The 3.7 mm (0.145") square links bite into snow and ice for dependable traction while their smaller size keeps the ride comfortable. You get the extra grip for climbing snowy grades or clearing driveways without the harsh vibration heavy chains can cause.

Fast Setup in the Cold: Assisted Tensioning Built In

No loose parts to chase in the snow—just fit the bright color-coded hooks and clips, then pull the integrated tensioners until snug. The assisted tensioning system tightens the chain around the tire quickly and holds it there, so you spend less time kneeling in slush and more time moving forward.

Step 1 of Titan Chain snow tire chain installation showing chains laid flat on the ground to remove tangles before installation.

Step 2 of Titan Chain installation showing the chain being spread around the back of the tire for proper placement.

Step 3 of Titan Chain installation showing the cable ends being connected behind the tire.

Step 4 of Titan Chain installation showing the green hook connecting the yellow side chain ends at the top of the tire.

Step 5 of Titan Chain installation showing tensioning chain being threaded through the red bracket and clips for tightening.

Step 6 of Titan Chain installation showing hook attachment and tension check after moving the vehicle forward.

Tight Spaces Are No Problem: SAE Class S Compatible Design

These chains meet SAE Class S standards for vehicles with limited wheel-well clearance. That means you can run them where space is tight and still count on proper clearance between tire and bodywork. It’s a reliable choice for modern vehicles with close-fitting fenders.

Built to Last Through Harsh Weather: Manganese Nickel Alloy Resists Corrosion

Winter roads are tough on metal, but the manganese nickel alloy construction stands up to salt, moisture, and repeated use. Each chain resists rust and wear season after season, and when you’re done, the reusable storage bag keeps them clean and ready for the next storm.

Confirming Your Fit

If you know your tire size, you may think you won't need to test fit your new chains. But there are a lot of variables that can affect whether chains will fit your specific tires, including your tire type, the amount of air pressure in the tire, the amount of tread wear, and the tire manufacturer.

We recommend that you order chains as early in the season as possible to give yourself plenty of time to test fit the chains and reorder if needed. This way, you won't be stuck out in the cold later with snow chains that don't fit.

You can test fit these chains in your garage or driveway, but you'll want to wait until there's snow on the ground to actually drive with them. Likewise, if you're out in the snow and come across bare pavement, you'll want to pull over and remove the chains. These chains can cause damage to the bare pavement, your garage floor, or your vehicle if they break from the wear of riding on a harsh surface.

I bought these snow chains for an up coming ski trip to Colorado during Christmas time. Etrailer was a great resource in trying to decide what type of snow chain to purchase, especially for a South Texan. The video demonstration and previous review is what sold me on the type/brand. I tested them to ensure they fit properly and had them installed in a jiffy. Let's hope I never have to use them!

by:

These are the first chains I have bought for a car. Bought them in preparation for a trip to Canada this winter and to have just in case this winter around Kansas City. I was worried about how difficult chains would be to install on a Dodge Dart but these were super easy to install, 5 min per tire my first time putting them on. They fit tightly and I can’t wait to try them out in the snow. Customer service was also great with my order. They were delivered several days before they were suposed to and sent me a personal email letting me know they were shipped out early. This was a great touch considering most online orders involve no personal contact from the business. I Will definitely purchase from etrailer again because of the service.

Im am very very satisfied with purchasing these chains from etrailer. First their web page was easy to navigate. Second the price was great. Then they were delivered as promised and quick. Once they arrived the quality is great and they came in a very nice carry case. Then I actually put them on in less then 5 minutes each and they went on without moving the truck like it says. so easy I couldn't believe it. I drove several times up and down my driveway without any problems with traction, and it was very slippery without them. I don't plan to use them all the time I plan to use them when I plow my driveway next year but just wanted to get prepared for next year. I put them over all season tires so I saved from getting snow tires for plowing. Great Job Team etrailer !!!

by:

Fast delivery no fitment issues and happy with product quality. Will continue to use etrailer for any future purchases.

by:

These are simple and easy to install on the tires. I would recommend you test fit them a couple times so you are familiar with the process, this can potentially be a pain if you have to put these on in bad conditions. They come in a nice storage bag. This is my second set I have for both vehicles. I can’t vouch for how they perform in the snow as I have been lucky enough to not get stuck however, I’m glad I have them as a backup and I’m confident they would work well as an emergency item. They fit good and tight and feel they are constructed well enough for a temporary emergency tool. These are not designed or made to be driven on a non snow or ice covered roads for long distances and high speed as they will be tough on your vehicle and would wear out. I definitely recommend having these as a backup tool.

I live in Buffalo NU. We get some snow! My company work van absstinks in the snow even with extra weight and snow tires. I got stuck in a very long driveway and had to break out the chains. Tons of snow & wind blowing. Still was not much difficulty popping then on. Got out of my situation with ease!! Highly recommend these!

by:

I'm very happy with my snow chains! The chains are easy to install, the carrying case is great, the instructions are very clear, and George and Carol from etrailer provided great customer service! The chains are well-priced and are comparable to the Grizzlar Diamond tire chains.

by:

Perfect installation in my driveway on a 90 degree August day! Might have a different experience on the side of the road in a blizzard! But installation is straight forward so hopefully it will be almost as easy. Did have a little difficulty getting them tangled after the first installation try, but I was able to get them straightened out. The installation photos provided were excellent. Great service from etrailer!

Chains fit and are easy to install as is shown in etrailer video

Thank you for the continued communication until my product got to my doorstep. Top notch service!

by:

Great customer svc. great value, very knowledgeable staff. I will be test fitting them this weekend as I've had no experience with chains, and I am confident that if I have any questions or concerns, e-trailer will be there.

by:

The service at e trail is perfect and time will tell on the product. The snow chains fit well and will work for the expected conditions.

by:

From what I can tell, they fit like they should and should do the job. I made a video of my experience since my first pair didn't fit. Great customer service experience every time! Will buy from etrailer again.

by:

Shipping was delayed due to weather, no fault there. Order received next day and was packaged nicely. Chains were slightly tangled due to shipping movement I would assume. Easy untangle and look good. Have t had a chance to use yet as weather has broke but will be placing the handy carrying bag in my vehicle for use as soon as the weather turns.

Tried the tc2335 chains and they were too small. Talked with customer service and they sent me the next size up. Tc2337 and these fit my 35x12.5R20 mastercraft couser CXT tires . Customer service here is wonderful.

by:

Wow!! Installed in minutes and fit snug no chain flopping in fender well like other chains. These are half the weight than my other chains and Titans came with nice carry case as well. Thank you to Christina J for all your help and getting these to me just in time to hit the snow [thumbs up]

  • What Tire Chains do You Recommend for My 35/12.5-17 Tires on my 2019 Ram 1500?
For your 2019 Ram 1500 with 35/12.5-17 tires, the safest route is the Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains - Diamond Pattern - Square Link # TC2337 for both on-road and off-road travel. These chains have a smaller link thickness (3.7mm) compared to other diamond-pattern chains like the # TC2539 (which have 5.5mm chains). The reason why link thickness matters is because the thickness ultimately contributes to how much wheel well clearance you have with your chains. In order to determine whether...

I definitely have some chains that fit the tires you mentioned for your 2021 Chevy Silverado 2500, but since your tire sizes are very different you're going to need different sets of chains for the different tire sizes. Here is what I recommend for each tire size you mentioned: 295/65R20 - # PWE2226SC (also use Tensioners # PW103) 35x12.50x17 - # TC2337 The chains for the 20" rims are standard ladder-style chains which is why I recommend using the tensioners to give you a nice, snug...

  • Recommended Tire Chains for 2018 Jeep Wrangler JLU with 4" Lift and 35" Tires
Even though your JLU is lifted, I still recommend using a Class S compatible chain so that it ensures that there is not any contact with the brake lines and anything else that was relocated or left more exposed because of the lift. The Titan Chain Alloy Snow Tire Chains # TC2337 are a good fit for your 35x12.5x17 tires and will provide you with good traction because of the diamond pattern and square links; they'll be a little bit rougher of a ride because of those square links, but they'll...

  • Low Clearance Tire Chains that Fit 2018 Ford F150 XLT Roush 305/55-20 Tire Size
You wouldn't want the tire chains hitting any component of your 2020 Ford F-150 even if it's a flexible portion and since there isn't a way to add additional clearance with your current tire size your best option would be a tire chain that requires less clearance like the Titan Tire Chains part # TC2337 which is a fit for your tire size and is Class S compatible. This means it requires less than 15 mm/ .59 of an inch. The Titan tire chains are easier to install, provide great traction,...

These chains are Class S compatible like the chains you mentioned which are not the correct fit for your tires. The # TC2337 chains have adjustability built in and will not come in contact with your wheels/rims. They are a confirmed fit for your tire size and I've attached a video to assist with installation.

  • Class S Tire Chains For 315/75-16 Size Tires
I cannot say it's okay to use tire chains that are not Class S if your owner's manual specifically says to use Class S tire chains, no. I know you're going to be very mad at me but I have to go by what the owner's manual says, as I cannot tell people otherwise. The designation isn't just for height on tires, it is also for the inside on the tires, as a link too large can interfere with brake lines and other braking functionality. So I have to recommend only using Class S tires for your...

  • Konig Tire Chains for 305/55-20 Tires
The only option for Konig tire chains that will fit your 305/55-20 tires is the Konig XD-16 Pro # KON64FR. There is no XG-12 Pro model that will fit your tire size. These use a diamond pattern with square links, and have assisted tensioning instead of self-tensioning. It is also worth noting that these are not Class S compatible. If you need Class S compatible tire chains the only option would be the # TC2337.

These chains carry a 'Class S' designation and are specifically designed for vehicles with tight clearance between the tire and the wheel well and the inside of the tire and the suspension components. The cables should be installed on the drive wheels of the vehicle and on a 4x4 vehicle, they'd be installed on the rear wheels but you could use them on all 4 wheels if you wish. Adjusters,...
