Hey, everybody, Ryan here at etrailer. Today, we're gonna be taking a look at the Demco Tow Bar Cover. The vast majority of people who have a tow bar on their motor home tend to just leave it on there, because you can sort back here, and it makes sense. You know, if you're not towing anything else other than your vehicle, why would you want to take it off You know, they're not the lightest component, and they do take up a little bit of space, and so, why bother with trying to store it somewhere else when you can leave it on the back, and that's where a bag, or a cover like this is gonna help out. Even though these tow bars are well-built, their quality of construction is good, and they're designed to be out in the elements. Having an extra layer of protection is a no brainer.
It's like a car, they're designed to be outside. Would you rather park it in a garage or leave it out in the elements So, it's something simple, but really does go a long way, especially, with a mechanical part like the tow bar, it has seals and moving parts in there that slide and operate, well, I don't care what kind of tow bar it is, eventually, if it's just getting hammered with rain and all the elements, constantly, sooner or later, it's not gonna work as good as you want it to, and so, keeping it covered, something simple like this keeps it dry, prevents dust from blowing in there, and everything else is really gonna help extend the life of it, and make it work the way you want to. This is gonna be made from a marine grade vinyl, so it's designed to handle some tough stuff. It's kind of pliable actually. It feels soft and somewhat stretchy, and I think that's a good idea, because your tow bar does have a lot of sharp stuff on it, so when you go to slide that over, you know, it's not gonna get hung up, and just shred.
Like, this is canvas or something, I feel like, you pull one thread loose and it kind of goes haywire there. It looks like, a couple of the seams they put in, it looks almost like a plastic track or something like that, and stitched it together, so, a good strong bond there. You know, it definitely beats just having a single stitch kind of running the two materials together. It actually gives us something for that material to bite onto and hold together. One of the things I do like about the bag is the fact that it's more than large enough, because some of 'em they kinda shortchange you, and they're real small, and you really have to fight, and force it on, more or less, and that's not the case with this one.
You know, you've got more than enough space in here, which makes it really easy to slide over your wiring, your safety cables, and all that, if you choose to leave those components on there. So, this is gonna work with Demco tow bars, as well as the etrailer.com tow bars. Then, all you're gonna have to do, just slide it right into position here, and then, take the hook and loop straps, and secure it down. That's really all there is to actually getting the bag on, and it's perfectly fine to leave on when you're in storage, or not using your motor home, or if you're not gonna be flat towing, it's fine to drive around with the bag on as well. Because of the size of it, and most tow bars are real similar in size, and length, and whatnot, I don't really see a reason why this one won't work with other manufacturers as well.
I feel like it would probably fit on the majority of 'em out there on the market today, but hard to say for sure. You know, I haven't put it on every single one, but it's just one of those things. You've got an expensive set up here. If you keep it stored, it's not gonna hurt to throw a bag over it, and help protect and extend the life of your tow bar, and that'll finish up our look at of the Demco Tow Bar Cover..
Fits my Demco Commander 2 well.
Perfect fit over our etrailer tow bar. I feel better about keeping it on the RV full-time knowing it's well covered. Easy to install and made of good quality material. I feel this will last us for years.

Its been a year and the cover is still in great shape. It sits out in the sun 24-7 and other than being a little dirty is in just as great a shape as it was when we got it. It has kept our tow bar out of the elements and working great.
It works like it’s supposed to. It is always on the oe bars in protect them when siting idle.
Not bad! I was wishing it to be alittle thicker material then it is for the price.
Perfect fit. I tried a “generic” cover and it was not big enough the cover the hardware used with the Demco tabless product line. This one is the perfect size!
Rochelle was great to work with when ordering. The cover was delivered
in great shape and I put it on as soon as it arrived. It looks much
better than my 55 gallon contractors trash bag!

Seems well put together but hard to fit around neck of tow bar. Velcro tabs could have been a bit longer. Will try other angles to get better fit.
It works as it was supposed to
This product just arrived on time as expected. It seems well made with strong material and it fits its application. Time will tell if it is durable. This storage bag does a good job of covering up the tow bar to blend in with the motorhome and secures the safety cables and electric pig tail.
Fits well on etrailer xhd tow bar
The cover seems to be well made and it does a good job of covering my tow bar and its associated cabling, but it certainly is pricey for a piece of fabric-backed vinyl with a seam sewn around its border, a couple of patches of velcro to help in stay in place, and a big Demco logo on the end. I can only hope that it stands up well to sun and weather. Time will tell.

The cover has stood up well but I wish it was a tiny bit longer so that could close more tightly around the tow bar. As it is, it allows rain and road spray to get inside the cover and collect at the bottom. Still, Id rather have it than not.

It will hold water, had it add holes at bottom,
This cover was purchased as recommended for the e67ZR tow bars I recently purchased. I found the fit to be poor because they do cover the stored bars and cables to protect them from sunlight but can not be secured with attached velcro to make it water tight and it has no drain holes if water does get inside.
Tow Bar cover arrived as scheduled and was well packaged. Was very easy to remove from the hard plastic case it was in. Not the usual case. Was a replacement for the original cover for my Demco Excali-Bar tow bar purchased in 2000. More room inside this cover than the original. Pictures of tow bar and old and new covers attached. I like the fasteners. Much easier to work with than a zipper.
Received the cover for my tow bar. The cover cleans up the rear of the RV with the tow bar attached. The cover is well made and I like the velcro used to secure the cover to the tow bar. Good purchase and does perform as advertised.
It is a well made product that fits together well. It really makes a difference, The process of hooking/unhooking truck is so much easier. It is much heavier steel than the hitches with same towing capacity ((pounds).
The bag, cover needs to be 2 inches longer, to enable the large screws to be covered, at the hitch. And why put name on the end. All other manfct. Place name horizontal on front of cover.
Great product. Fit over my hitch and all the connecting cords (when wound around the hitch) keeping everything together and out of the weather. Good service from this company. Product arrived in good condition and in a timely fashion.
I got this cover for my new E-Trailer XHD Tow Bar. It looks great and fits well. I was going to order a different one & Bay suggested this one for a whopping $2 more lol. Excellent product which has protected my tow bar very well. It has become a bit frayed at the bottom but that is from it rubbing against the ground on uneven roads.
