Built for the road, this 8-ply radial tire carries a 1,220-lb maximum load at 65 psi, with an M speed rating of 81 mph. The double steel belts and full nylon plies deliver long life and highway stability, while the premium rubber compound helps disperse heat on hot asphalt. It’s DOT compliant and ready for steady towing mile after mile.
Saltwater and humidity don’t stand a chance. The 12" x 4" galvanized steel wheel uses an 8-spoke design with beveled stud holes to keep the wheel secure against the hub. The galvanized finish offers superior corrosion resistance compared to painted steel, so it stays solid and good-looking through wet conditions and coastal trips.
The Karrier S-Trail tread pattern uses computer-generated ribs with breaks and sipes that channel water away. That means better traction in rain, snow, or slush and a more stable ride when surfaces get slick. The radial construction keeps rolling resistance low for smoother handling at speed.
No extra shop time needed. This tire comes pre-mounted on its galvanized wheel and inflated to spec, so you can bolt it on and get moving right away. Owners upgrading from smaller wheels note how easy the swap is and how much better their trailers handle once the new setup is installed.
The wheel’s standard 5 on 4-1/2" bolt pattern, 3.19" pilot diameter, and zero offset make mounting simple. With a wheel capacity of 1,250 lbs, it’s a balanced match for the tire’s load range. Each assembly meets DOT specifications and includes a limited warranty—5 years on the tire and 2 years on the wheel—for dependable use season after season.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

I have had these a year, and still really happy with these. No more time and money spent on sandblasting, repainting.
I haven't yet taken the boat back to the lake, but being in the mountains with switchback turns, the bias ply Harbor Freight tires just weren't cutting it. I blew obe out on the last trip! I expect these Kenda radials and galvanized rims to last a good while. etrailer is great to work with, and when I noticed a lower price, they gladly matched it. I will continue to buy from etrailer, and Robert was very helpful!
Definitely an upgrade in tire and wheel from original equipment and previous replacements. Put on utility trailer that hauls atv for hunting 130 miles each way at interstate speeds and includes off road hauling too. Included pics of old wheel/tire next to newly mounted tires from etrailer.
Overall nice for the price. I wanted to upgrade to radial tires after a blowout an the freeway with bias tires.

Great, much better than smaller original
I received galvanized wheels and tires as an upgrade for a very old boat trailer. The new larger radial tires on 12” rims are a great upgrade from the old non-radial tires on 8” rims. Tows smooth and easy on the highway with noticeably less trailer bang & hop on rougher roads at slower speeds. Super easy, super fast delivery. Awesome, thank you.

Bought this as my spare on a dial key ski trailer. Haven't had to use it yet but I can tell it's eager to jump into action if either of the main tires fails. It just sits there on its mount longing to do its job. Every so often it twitches and gives me that "now?" look but I have to tell it "easy there fella. The others are doing fine" so it gives a look of disappointment and a little sigh but it still remains willing and able.

Fantastic price, great selection, and free shipping to boot. I needed new tires for a long ATV trip and wanted a spare tire as well (I know, I know, but I usually only trailer locally). I ordered these radial tires and rims pre-mounted which allowed me to use one of the old wheels as my spare. Everything performed flawlessly over about 600 miles and even held their torque specs when I checked them during and after the trip. The spare tire carrier compliments the galvanized trailer frame and rims and looks like it will hold up to the elements of the North East. All in all, I highly recommend these products and etrailer.
I'm glad to see I have an option to garbage bias ply 4.80x12 trailer tires. I've tried a lot of them over the years and always the same result, poor quality, ride, and terrible tread life. My last set of bias plys on a 2 ski pwc trailer were already down to the wear bars in a year and maybe 1000-1200 miles.
Ordered these galvanized wheels and kenda radials and as always etrailer got them here very fast and well packed. Took them to my local tire guy and he balanced them. Didn't take much weight and watching them spin showed a straight rim and tire. Installed them and was shocked the first trip to the river. Zero vibration from the trailer! Bias plies seem to bounce and transfer it to my truck through the hitch. These tires are smooth, no trailer bounce, pull great, and I don't see my yamahas vibrating in the rear view mirror.
Fast forward a few months till now. I probably have 5-600 miles on them. Still perfect, zero air loss, zero tread wear noted. I will buy these from now on based on what I'm seeing so far.
Tire is fine but rim looks like a unsupervised 2 year old got hold of a spray can and painted it. The galvanizing has awful runs. I know this is isn't the most expensive tire/wheel but does anyone take any pride anymore?

Unfortunately, this is very common for these galvanized rims. They are dipped into molten zinc and are drip dried. This will sometimes cause bubbles and or rough marks on the rims, you can sand it down to make it smooth.
Tires are exactly what I ordered . Rims look good for the price . I would say I am very satisfied. They arrived at my Doorstep ahead of schedule… great experience…

Seem to be pretty good tires and the wheels are hopefully going to last longer than painted steel, time will tell.
The Kenda tires have worked well, provide a smooth, solid ride, and have been a great addition to allow me to confidently pull my trailer at the full interstate speed limits.
Wheels arrived at my door packaged excellent and under 48 hours at the end of the week delivered on Saturday. Super fast and wheels and tires look amazing! Thank you so much.
The tire and wheel combo fits my needs. It stated the tire is pre inflated, but i found them to be about 10 pounds under pressure. There are stickers placed on the tires that do not remove without shredding and leaving sticker and adhesive residue. Suggestion would be to have the stickers installed on the inside portion of the ire so it doesn’t create an unappealing look once mounted.
Needed to upgrade to a radial tire with higher speed ratings and opted for the complete package with new wheels, too. The price was right and I avoided the hassle of having to get the tires mounted. My old tires/wheels now serve as temporary spares. Online ordering was simple and delivery was fast.
Very happy with this purchase. I previously had 8" trailer rims/wheels and really wanted to upgrade to larger tires to accommodate the extra weight I have added to my small boat. But, I am not a handy guy and really didn't know what I was doing. In other words, I know how to fish but know zero about boat trailers. So, I spoke with etrailer support Tech Paula who walked me through the process in detail and waalaa, done!
