Comparing Tire Sizes ST145R12 And 205/65R10 For A Triton 4 Place Snowmobile Trailer

Question:
My Triton 4 place snowmobile trailer has a GVWR of 4400 lbs. The current tires are 205/65/10 LRE. I have enough clearance to go with the ST145r12 tires/wheels. Is a Load Rating D tire enough or do you recommend going with a Load E tire? Is the 145r12 a good upgrade or should I be sticking with the 205/65/10 wheel/ tire combo?

Hi Chris,
Tire size ST145R12 LRE has a 1,520lb capacity compared to the 1,650lb capacity of tire size 205/65/10 LRE so I would stick with what you already have. Are you experiencing handling issues or is there something else you're wanting to correct?
