While on the road, it is very important to regularly maintain your tires and make sure they're inflated correctly. If your tires are underinflated or overinflated, they'll develop irregular tread wear and become prone to overheating and blowing out. The TireMinder A1AS TPMS helps protect your investment and keep your family safe by monitoring your tires and alerting you of any signs of danger before disaster strikes.

10 Waterproof Sensors with Bluetooth

This TPMS includes 10 sensors that let you individually monitor each tire on your application for changes in pressure and temperature. These brass sensors are able to work on rubber, steel, chrome, or nickel valve stems. Every 6 seconds, they will check the pressure and temperature again, and use Bluetooth to send that information directly to the monitor or smartphone app. These durable sensors are waterproof, which means that they can be used on boat trailers and other marine applications.

Simple Setup with Monitor and App

Unlike most other systems, this TPMS lets you choose between using the monitor or an app on your smart device as the screen. The TireMinder TPMS 2.0 app is free to download and use. For Apple smartphones and devices, it's compatible with models iPhone 7 and iPad 7 and newer. You can also connect to Apple CarPlay or Android Auto, so you can display the details of your tire on your car's dashboard. For Android smartphones, it's compatible with model Android 4.4 and newer. However, if you decided to use the app, you will still have to have the monitor in operation within 10 feet, as it is crucial for helping to bridge the Bluetooth transmission between the sensors and your phone.

TireMinder 6-Sensor TPMS Setup

The monitor or smartphone app will provide you with visual and audible cues to warn you of dangerous changes in tire pressure and tire temperature, as well as alert you of changes with the monitor battery, sensor battery, and sensor signal. Before you begin setup, make sure the monitor has been charged and the repeater and sensor batteries have been installed. If you have decided to use your smart device as the monitor, download the app and connect to Bluetooth.

TireMinder 6-Sensor TPMS Setup

Select your RV or trailer configuration or the locations of the tires you want to monitor. Then select one tire location, install a sensor on the corresponding tire on your RV or trailer, and the current PSI will automatically appear on the screen. With the purchase of additional sensors (sold separately), you can monitor up to 22 tires, which is perfect for a fleet. Sensors can be added, moved, deleted, or replaced at any point, even after initial installation.

TireMinder A1AS TPMS Setup

You can set the tire pressure in psi, Bar, and KPa. If you choose psi, you can set the tire pressure anywhere from 0 psi to 199 psi. As for the temperature, you're able to switch between degrees F and degrees C, and the system will alert you if the temperature exceeds 167 degrees F. With both the monitor and the app, you are also able to disconnect and reconnect to different vehicles, RVs, or trailers. This is useful for those who switch between different applications, such as a Class A motorhome owner who sometimes tows a car.

RHINO Repeater Boosts Signal

TireMinder TPMS RHINO Repeater

This repeater helps improve signal strength and range of the sensors. It has dual Hi-Db antennas that let the booster cut through signal interference coming from wireless electronic devices used in surrounding automobiles. It also ensures that the link from the sensors to the monitor is strong and continuous. The unit has a green light on the front panel to indicate it has power and a blue light that blinks when it transmits a signal.

Easy Installation

TireMinder A1AS TPMS Installation

This TPMS system includes 20 batteries, 10 locking nuts, 10 O-rings, a wrench, and an adhesive. Once the batteries have been inserted and covers have been re-installed, remove the cap of your valve stems, thread the locking nuts onto the valve stems, and install the sensors. Lastly, secure the locknuts against the sensors with the wrench.

The weatherproof and dustproof Bluetooth repeater can be installed anywhere on the exterior of your RV or trailer between the rear axle and king pin. The optimal mounting location for a towable camper is toward the front whereas the optimal mounting location for a drivable RV is toward the rear. it is not recommended to install the repeater inside your vehicle, as you might experience signal blockage. Use either the adhesive (included) or hardware (not included) to attach the repeater and wire it to a power supply line. In order to reduce vibration, make sure it's securely mounted. Then connect the black wire to ground, and the red wire to power. Zip-ties are included to fasten the booster and wires to your RV or trailer.

One sensor went bad. the manufacture replaced it. The battery's last about a year. that is reasonable. The unit reacts very fast on start-up and seams very accurate. the display could be a little brighter.

by:

Great attention to customer service! Did what they said they were going to do! Hard to find these days. I will be back!

by:

Easy install. Functions as intended. Display screen somewhat difficult to view in daylight.

by:

TPMS works great but the master unit did fail and I had it replaced under warranty.

by:

Been wanting a TPMS for a while now. Looked at all brands & Tireminder was the best. Just spend over $3,000 on new tires for my Class A RV. Installed today. Was easy to install & program.

by:

Once I moved the antennae to the back of my motorhome it helped with loss of signal to my toad back tires. I still encounter signal loss intermittently but it’s acceptable. Other than that my only complaint is that the screen is very difficult to read during daytime. For that reason I would probably not buy this one again.

by:

I appreciate being able to use a single monitor to keep an eye on the tire air pressure for 10 tires (at one east glance) including our Ford F350 dually wheels as well as the tires on our dual axle trailer we routinely tow.

by:

The unit performs well with a 35 foot fifth wheel even with the extender inadvertently unplugged. As with most electronics having multi function buttons there is a learning process for navigating through functions. However, the manufacturer is very responsive and helpful via phone. The only significant complaint is that the screen brightness is poor.

by:

After one year and almost 5000 miles, I am a little disappointed. Purchased these because they were highly recommended however, the hype didn't hold up. Connectivity was an issue since our RV was 40 feet and the towed vehicle we needed to monitor was further behind that. We would lose signal after about an hour maybe two hours of driving, forcing us to pull over and consistently check to see that our towed vehicle tires didn't have a blowout or something. Too many false alerts. The screen on the device needs more ability of adjusting in different light settings. At this price point, an LED screen would be better that the LCD dot matrix type of screen that came with the device. Adjusted the placement of the secondary antenna 3 different times to no avail, the tire minder just won't send signals constantly. Outside of these issues, I feel RVI has a better interface system but it is unproven and not many reviews for me to take the plunge yet.

by:

Expensive option for a 30 ft trailer. Sensor failed (internal connections fell apart) - $80 to fix. Poor connections for booster. Cheap tiny alligator clips. For the cost this is not a good product.

by:

Hard to turn off hold for 15 seconds maybe it will shut down or not.. randomly turns off and on while driving. Performance of sensors is awesome! Saved all 4 of trailer tires over last 6 months!! Wouldn’t be without it but controller is weak point

by:

The TPMS came nicely packaged to prevent damage in shipping. The product itself it very solidly built, with a rugged display device. Gives you the feel of a quality built product. Great instruction manual and easy setup. I was surprised that the screen is so hard to read in sunlight, which runs counter to the aim of mounting it on the dashboard of a motorhome.

by:

Fast service

by:

The system works great. The only reason I gave it 4 stars instead of 5 is that one of the alligator clips for the booster completely corroded and fell apart.

by:

Just received the tire minder and have not installed it yet. This is an up grade from the tireminder I had before. It stoped working after a year and a half??? This A1AS is a lot more expensive. I will definitely watch this unit closely. I posted the warranty info in my office!! We will see. etrailer has always been a first class company to do business with.

by:

This system is great! We avoided a huge problem and associated cost having this TPMS. The TPMS let us know we had a tire pressure loss on one of our rear dual tires. It was a valve stem failure on a Friday late afternoon, 4:00 p.m. We were about to pull off the freeway to refuel prior to a remote desert stretch in Idaho when we got an alarm. There was a tire shop eight miles from our fuel stop that got the stem replaced and transferred the TPMS sensor to the new valve stem. The TPMS paid for itself many times. Without the TPMS, I suspect we would have had two tire failures at freeway speed, possible rim damage, other damage to our RV, tow fees, trip delays, and/or wreck.

This is a good question, and it's going to vary between RVs and towed vehicles, so I'll try to break this down. The short version of this is that for your setup you'll want to use brass transmitters. Towed vehicles will have either rubber (brass) or metal (aluminum) valve stems in the wheels. By 'transmitter', I believe you're speaking of the repeater/booster included with the # TM79FR Tire Minder TPMS that boosts the signal from the sensors to the monitor.
