These are expand lights and a very brig ht

by:

Works exactly as advertised. Quick delivery also.

by:

Ordered the LED light kit to upgrade my cattle trailer. They work great and got here fast. Thanks.

by:

These lights are really sharp. LEDs are nice and bright and should be better than my original set. Installation was not difficult. For connecting to the wire harness, I used waterproof, heat shrinkable butt connectors I got from an auto store, as the twist connectors that came with the lights are not really suitable for boat trailers. The enclosed three way Scotchlok connectors made it real easy to wire in my side marker lights. Look forward to many years of ware with this set.

The products are working just fine.

The TLL9RK Optronics LED Combination Tail Light Kit fit my old 4 foot by seven foot utility trailer perfectly. The lights are much brighter than the OEM incandescent units. I used crimp connectors instead of those supplied in the kit. I like the plugs that came with the new wiring harness, as they appear to seal much better when the trailer is connected to the tow vehicle. I only wish the kit included a blanking seal for each plug to help keep them clean and dry when not connected, as they spend most of their time unplugged and open to the weather.

A great product, the light kit is working well after a year with no problems.

by:

When my 7 year old utility trailer lost it's lights, I looked for a solution. The package came quickly and was easy to install. It was a good idea to include the wiring kit along with the Lights because I installed the lights first and discovered that the problem wasn't solved. I then rewired the entire harness and it all works well. I would recommend one change - instead of the wire nuts, add a waterproof heat sealing connection - I soldered my wire connections using a heat shrink wrap. Also - waterproof tap in connections for the side running lights would be helpful.

well worth the $$s super product at a low price - for a really good long term installation, use soldered connections and heat shrink wrap.

by:

Easy to install. There was plenty of length of wire to make the connections. Work great and looks great. Thank you.

Everything is working with no issues. Extremely happy with the lights.

by:

Well the connectors on the wiring looked ok and it had wiring to install to a vehicle, but there are some deficits.
Sold as a premium, but does not come with clearance lights (even many small trailers have at the front. ) I bought it because i thought submersible led lights meant it would be very good quality and low long term maintenance.
Evidence is not promising!

Instructions: there were none. There was a link for video instructions that just told how to install the lights . Two bolts and wire nuts. Pretty simple! Unfortunately, no instructions were included with the clips in the wiring harness box. The clips were very small to hold wires in place, some i couldn’t figure out.
My trailer is simple; however, so threading the wiring in place of existing wires, and switching out the light fixtures was pretty straightforward.
After threading the harness, when I was stripping the wires leading to the lights, I realized the wires were only 18 gauge. (The wire pigtails on the lights were 16 gauge.) Normally i like to have wiring leading to a fixture thicker or heavier gauge than the wires in the fixtures.
The ground wire was only 2 feet long from the plug. There was nothing that close in my trailer to connect it to, so i needed to use my old ground and attach to that wire.

When it was all connected, the driver side light had a short in it. ( that light did not work and the wires leading do it became hot in less than a minute.)

It has been working well for a year, perhaps I was overly critical.

by:

Had problems for years with OEM incandescent trailer lighting shorting out the vehicle’s trailer light converter on multiple occasions. Finally performed a thorough troubleshoot which included replacing wiring and lighting. etrailer is a great resource for tech support & troubleshooting. Decided to upgrade w/ LED lights since they are brighter and amperage requirements are significantly lower. In the process, I discovered a broken ground wire inside of plastic conduit close to the trailer plug. Repaired the ground wire and checked all existing wiring for continuity. Satisfied that I corrected the problem, I decided to keep the existing wiring in place and installed the new LED lights. Stripped and connected wires with a butt connector and heat shrink tubing. Ground the paint off the light mounting stud locations to ensure clean metal was exposed for the lamp ground wire. All is now in working order. Note that I decided to continue using the incandescent clearance lights on the front of the trailer since their amperage draw is much lower. Typical recommendation is to not mix the two types of lighting due to different amperage requirements. Unfortunately, I could not locate a complete kit which also included LED clearance lights.

Just took my utility trailer out of winter storage for picking up landscape materials and was delighted that all lighting was operational.

Working great. no problems, easy clean install.

by:

Easy to install, looks like good quality, works well. Prompt shipping and good packaging.

by:

Good replacement product for our Malone Microsport. Wish the wiring were a gauge or two beefier.

by:

Easy to install with no hassles. Done it 10 minutes.

by:

Seamless transaction and gorilla-with-a-crayon installation instructions. Simple and smooth... doesn't get better than that. Phooey, I even got to talk to a real-live-helpful person!. And the box arrived like magic on my porch like a package under the Christmas tree. Would I do it again.... I already did, with another order. And I'm talking to others about my good experience.

by:

Absolutely fabulous. Changed out old jack on cargo trailer in a matter of minutes. This jack is of excellent quality and construction, and clearly puts the original jack to shame.

by:

The product is exactly what was listed on the website and the quality is great. I looked at Walmart, a local marina and a local part store for trailer lights. These lights I got from etrailer.com are better quality and a better price including shipping. It was delivered faster than expected. I was so pleased, I purchased more product from etrailer the next day.

by:

Rebuilt an old boat trailer. Had it powder coated and I needed a whole new light harness. This worked really well and looks good too.

by:

I bought the kit, but in the end the basic wiring was OK, so just used the lights. The lights worked out very well. What made the purchase most helpful was the one place shopping for lights, wiring, supplies and small supporting tools. The online tips and how-to videos were an important part of my successful installation. I put off doing it for months, when in reality it was a pretty straightforward project with the website support.

by:

Love the lights. I would give them five stars all day long. The wiring harness is a bit chintzy. More like 2.5 stars. It feels like if the manufacturer spent another .02 on it the quality would be better. If you paint your trailer, you need to grind away the paint beneath the ground wire, otherwise they will not work.

by:

Outer box was fine, but inner package was crumpled and nuts/washers missing. Will try to make it work.

by:

All went well except the ground wire was short on the trailer harness, had to splice a piece in.
Manufacture should consider making it another 12-18 inches longer.

I am a repeat customer and first time working with Kayleigh. I started trying to self source on website then I was overwhelmed with the choices. Kayleigh took the time to help me with choosing the right parts to meet my needs and she expressed a genuine interest with the entire process to make sure we had it correct. Thank you for the great excellent customer support and having the products necessary for trailer customers.

by:

The product seems good. The problem I have with the light is that, when mounted, there is an open space, where the wires enter the housing, the opening is in the top where moisture can enter the light housing. The smart move would be to have the wiring enter the bottom of the housing. The natural build of the housing would protect rain/moisture to enter the light.

  • Left Side Trailer Lights Not Working With New LED Trailer Lights Installed
The first thing that I would recommend checking are the ground connections for the trailer side connector and the lights. Poor ground connections are the most common culprit of trailer wiring issues. The lights will have either a ground wire or they will ground through the mounting hardware. Each of the ground connections should be secured to a clean, bare metal surface on the trailer frame or to the negative terminal of a trailer battery if you have one. If the ground connections check...

It sounds like based on the description you provided of the issue that one white ground wire is not working on your new LED tail lights. I would first make sure that the connector on your new LED light that is having the issue does not have any debris in it causing the connection issue. Next check the ground wire going to that light and make sure it is securely connected to clean corrosion free metal. Ground wires being loose can cause all sorts of havoc.
