Features to know about

Illuminate Every Journey: Submersible Tail Lights

Navigating through rain and challenging terrains can be intimidating. Thankfully, this trailer light kit features submersible tail lights (ST6RB and ST7RB) that are purposefully designed to withstand wet conditions and keep you safe by maintaining visibility. Whether you're hauling through heavy rain or backing into water, these lights are built to endure the elements without compromising their performance.

A Comprehensive Lighting Solution: Complete Trailer Light Kit

Tired of piecing together mismatched trailer lighting? This kit offers an all-in-one solution with everything you need - from red incandescent tail lights to amber side markers and clearance lights, along with a corrosion-resistant license-plate bracket. With a 25-foot wiring harness featuring a 4-pole connector, this kit ensures you have all the essential components for a complete trailer refit.

Effortless Installation and Grounding: Stud-Mount Lights with Self-Grounding

Spending too much time figuring out the installation? Not with this kit! The stud-mount lights offer self-grounding through their mounting studs, ensuring a seamless installation process on clean, metal surfaces. This means less fiddling with extra wires and more peace of mind knowing your setup is secure and reliable, even across bumpy roads.

Optimal Performance for Road Safety: DOT Approved and Reflectorized Lenses

Safety shouldn't be a compromise. This light kit is DOT approved, meaning it adheres to federal safety standards, giving you confidence in its reliability. The lights feature reflectorized lenses, eliminating the need for separate reflectors and ensuring your trailer is visible even in low-light conditions.

Versatile Fit for Most Trailers: Surface Mount and Square Design

Struggling with odd-shaped lights that don't fit your trailer? This kit features surface mount and square designed lights that easily adapt to most trailer types, including utility, small boat, and ATV trailers. It offers a straightforward fit, saving you time and effort during installation.

Power Efficient: Meets Vehicle Wiring Standard

Worried about overloading your vehicle's wiring harness? Each light in this kit pulls only 2.5 amps for stop/turn functions and 1 amp for the tail signal, ensuring it's compatible with standard vehicle wiring without risk of overload. Enjoy full functionality without worrying about straining your system.

  • Recommended Wiring And Trailer Light Kit For Harbor Freight Trailer
Since you said you want to re-wire your entire trailer I recommend the Optronics Submersible Trailer Light Kit, part # TL5RK. This kit comes with 2 stud-mount lights, 2 amber side marker and clearance lights, a license plate bracket, and a 25 ft wiring harness with a 4-way connector. The mounting hardware is also included with this kit. I have also attached a link to an installation video for this wiring kit you can check out.

  • All Trailer Lights Blink When Truck Headlights and Turn Signals are Turned On
The wiring harness on the trailer side is what is called a wishbone harness. It splits the running light signal so that you do not have to run a jumper wire from one side to the other. The yellow/brown wire is for the left side running lights and the green/brown is for the right side running lights. That could be what the problem is if you wired it differently. Make sure that the trailer lights are grounded to a clean and corrosion free location of the trailer frame. Also check to make...

  • Trailer Lights Not Lighting Up Properly on Harbor Freight Trailer
It sounds like the wiring harness you have is what is called a wishbone harness. These will have 2 wires that connect to the single running light pin, so you don't have to run a jumper wire from one side of the trailer to the other. It also sounds like you have everything hooked up correctly. Yellow is usually left turn and brake lights, green is usually right turn and brake lights, brown is usually running lights, and white is the ground. You can test this by connecting the trailer to...

  • Trailer Lighting Kit Recommendation for 16 Foot Trailer
Hey Christopher, a 16 foot trailer like you have is almost guaranteed to not be over 80 inches in width which the Optronics Trailer Wiring Lighting Kit part # TL5RK would work great for. This comes with everything you'd need for your trailer to be legal from a lighting and reflector point of view. The lights are also waterproof too so there'd be no need to worry about towing the trailer in the rain. These are actually even submersible too so you could back the trailer in water if it happened...

  • Looking For Replacement Light Kit For Malone Microsport MPG460G
Hey Mark, That is a great trailer so I am glad you are enjoying it! There are a couple routes you could go to replace those lights. We do not carry the full Malone replacement kit, but Malone does carry it. Their part number is #6341. I show that they do not have it in stock so I am not sure how quickly you would be able to get it to you. My recommendation would be to go with our kit # TL5RK. This is a light kit with everything that comes in the Malone kit as well. Its got both tail...

  • Best 4.80-12 Trailer Tires For Highway Speed
Okay, let's go ahead and start with the best 4.80-12 trailer tires for highway speeds, and for that you want a radial tire because they run cooler and flex more than bias tires. The best option for this is a tire from Taskmaster: - Taskmaster 4.80R12 Radial Trailer Tire # TT48012C The # TT48012C has an 81 mph speed rating, the highest for this size tire, and is a load range C tire that has a 990 lb per-tire rating (so 1,980 lbs for two tires). As for a wheel and spacer, there really...

  • Will The Peterson M540 Light Kit Fit A Bracket With 2-1/4" of Head Room?
I measured from the center of the mounting studs to the top of the lights that come with the Peterson Light Kit # M540 and it is 2-1/2". Just to make sure, I also measure the Optronics Under 80" Trailer Light Kit with 25' Wiring Harness # TL5RK the same way, and they measure exactly the same, unfortunately. With that said, I may have another option available, but the lights will be completely different. If you look at the Optronics Trailer Light Kit # TL16RK, which technically is for trailers...

  • Troubleshooting Running Light Circuit Not Working On Right Side of Trailer
The blinker/brake lights are carried on one circuit and the running lights are on a totally different one. Since the stop/turn circuits seem to work on the left side but the running lights on that side do not you need to check the wiring of the running light circuit that runs to that side of the trailer and fix as needed. I attached a diagram of how a trailer is normally wired as well as a help article that covers troubleshooting trailer wiring as well.

If you check out the link I attached you will see all of these differenced highlighted. • Trailer Lighting/Wiring Kit for Snowmobile Trailer
Standard 4-pole trailer wiring uses flat-style connectors, like part # W787268 which is a trailer-side connector and part # HM48044 which is the mating vehicle side connector. On these items and on the 16-gauge bonded 4-pole wire # 16-4B-1 you referenced in your question the usual pin/function assignments are the same. • Trailer Light Kit for a 10 Foot Trailer
Legally a trailer only needs right and left turn signals, brake lights, and running lights. The license plate light will be tied into the running light circuit. On a trailer, the turn signals and brake lights are on the same circuit on each side. So the minimum you will need is 4-wire bonded wire such as # 16-4B-1 that you have referenced. For a trailer side 4-Way you can use # A20WB and you would not need the wire by itself. This is a 20 foot length and the running light circuit is split,...

  • How Is a Trailer Grounded to a Trailer Hitch on a Towing Vehicle
The trailer itself will have a ground wire from the trailer connector that needs to be attached to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface on the trailer frame. The lights like in Incandescent Trailer Tail Light Kit, # TL5RK, will ground through the mounting studs. The truck side trailer connector will also be grounded to the vehicle frame. The trailer itself will ground through the coupler and trailer ball.

  • Recommended LED Trailer Light Kit for a 6 x 12 Utility Trailer

  • Which Trailer Light Kit is Best for a Jet Ski Trailer
Trailer light kit # TL29BK does not include submersible lights, so water would be able to enter the light housings. A better choice for your jet ski trailer would be a submersible light kit # TL5RK, as the lights will be sealed against water. I would recommend, however, that you unplug the trailer connector and let the bulbs cool down a bit before backing into the water, so that the cold water will not crack the bulbs. This is good practice, also, because it lets your wheel bearings...

  • Running Lights Not Working on Trailer After Installation of Optronics Trailer Light Kit # TL5RK
