Features to know about

Brighter, More Efficient Lighting: 18-Diode LED Design

This Miro-Flex LED tail light packs 18 diodes into its 5-1/4" x 5" square housing, giving you strong, even illumination for stop, tail, and turn functions. The faceted Miro-Flex lens design increases visibility and adds a clean, modern look. At 12.8V, the stop and turn functions draw only 0.174 amps while the side marker uses just 0.054 amps—so you get bright light output with minimal power draw and none of the heat or fragility that comes with incandescent bulbs.

Built for the Water: Fully Sealed and Submersible Construction

No more worrying about dunking your trailer lights at the ramp or driving through rain. The light’s sealed, waterproof housing keeps moisture out completely, making it safe for full submersion. The internal circuit board is protected from corrosion or shorting, so the LEDs stay bright and reliable even after repeated water exposure.

One Light, Six Functions: Complete Rear Lighting Solution

This single unit handles six essential lighting functions—stop, tail, turn signal, side marker, side reflex reflector, and rear reflex reflector—so you don’t need multiple fixtures to stay legal and visible. It’s DOT compliant and meets FMVSS 108 standards in any 360-degree mounting position, giving you full flexibility while maintaining proper visibility on the road or at the dock.

Tough and Simple to Mount: Surface-Mount Design with Adjustable Hardware

Durability starts with molded plastic housing and surface-mount LED construction that stands up to vibration and heat better than traditional bulbs. The stainless steel mounting hardware slides along rear channels so you can fine-tune placement for an exact fit. Mounting studs are spaced 2" apart on center, making installation straightforward whether you’re replacing old lights or outfitting a new setup.

Straightforward Wiring: 3-Wire Pigtail Setup

Wiring is simple thanks to a color-coded 3-wire pigtail—white for ground, brown for tail light, and green for stop/turn. It even includes twist-on wire connectors to make setup quick. Once wired in, you can count on the LEDs’ long lifespan and lifetime warranty to keep your trailer safely lit season after season.

Bought a new brake controller and updated all the lights to LEDs , all parts are good quality. Would recommend etrailer

by:

These lights are BRIGHT and RELIABLE! I am so happy that I don't have to keep constantly checking my trailer lights to make sure they are still working.

by:

I pull a 26 ft boat from Florida to Upstate NY every summer. I travel busy Interstates as well as country roads and always manage to find some pretty nasty weather where the visibility is very poor. The Optronic Micro-Flex tail lights give me a good feeling that the guy behind me, sees me and sees my brake lights and directionals. One of the new lights had moisture in it the first time I launched. etrailer was quick to send me a replacement under warranty, Thank You

by:

Product was good, only issue it that e-trailer sent me a used or returned item. Everything work just fine. This light had some cog webs inside the mounting area.

STL28RB & STL29RB
Right and Left LED
Brake/Turn/Tail/License plate lights
Nice bright LED light. Cheaply made, all plastic back housing but unless you can find the older (80's/90's) lights, your stuck with "made in Japan"

by:

Well, I ordered the wrong light and best I remember I needed the one for the left side but ordered one for right side- I tried to stop order and change it but for some reason y’all wouldn’t let me do that without a whole lot of trouble.
I just used it- had to turn it upside down! Lol
Works fine just looks funny!

by:

One year later and these LED submersible boat trailer lights are still working like the day I installed them.

  • Recommended Replacement Tail Light Assemblies for a Yamaha Trailer
If your Yamaha trailer measures over 80 inches, then I recommend the Optronics Waterproof LED Trailer Light Kit, # TLL160RK. This light set is designed for marine trailer applications which means the unit is sealed and waterproof. The units are hard wired to your current trailer's lighting wiring and the units have separate ground wires. For a trailer that is smaller than 80 inches, I recommend the Optronics Micro-Flex LED Trailer Tail Lights, # STL28RB & # STL29RB. These light are square...

Hey Matt! You can go ahead and email me that picture to the address you receive this response from and I'll take a look at it. Just a heads up we will not have an exact OEM replacement light. What we have done in the past for other Ez-Load boat trailer owner's is to recommend the Miro-Flex LED Trailer Tail Lights item # STL28RB and item # STL29RB which are submersible LED tail lights that will work well for you. • Replacement Tail Lights on Malone Microsport XL Kayak Trailer
Yes. The tail lights on the Malone Microsport trailers like the # MPG460XT are submersible. You can use the # STL28RB & # STL29RB to replace these lights with another submersible light or go with a completely sealed and waterproof light set with the # TLL9RK. I do recommend going with the # TLL9RK waterproof lights just because of the added protection and durability you get with this application.

If you can tell me what model LED lights you purchased I will be happy to verify this for you.

  • Boat Trailer Tail Lights Stopped Working After Backing Trailer in Water
There is a subtle difference between submersible lights like # ST5RB and completely sealed lights. Submersible lights will let in water but will allow it to drain out. Sealed lights will keep water out and as such are also submersible. Part of the problem is that you really need to disconnect the trailer wiring prior to submerging the trailer in the water since the light is not sealed and the connection splices are not water tight. The brake light/turn signal functions not working could...

You may also be interested in the LED Submersible Trailer Stop, Turn, Tail and License Plate Light, 7-Function, 14 Diode, Left Hand, part # STL9RB, if you needed the left hand version of the # STL8RB.

You can use a vehicle battery to verify the functions of the lights first and then use a circuit tester like part # PTW2993 to verify wiring by having it connected to a vehicle and then test the wires while all of the taillight functions are applied.
