Features to know about

Brighter Light with Less Power: Efficient 3-Diode LED Design

Older incandescent lights can dim over time and drain more power than they should. This LED clearance and side marker light fixes that with three efficient diodes that shine brighter while drawing only 0.006 amps at 12.8V. You’ll get crisp, amber illumination without stressing your wiring or worrying about burned-out filaments. It’s built for 12V DC systems and delivers long-lasting performance with no bulbs to replace.

Better Road Safety: Built-In Reflex Reflector

Keeping your trailer visible from different angles is key for safety, and this light takes care of that with its integrated reflex reflector. That means you don’t need to install a separate reflector to meet lighting and visibility requirements. The lens reflects light even when the LEDs are off, adding a passive safety layer that helps other drivers see your trailer at night or in low light.

Simple Wiring and Surface Mounting: 2-Wire Setup

Installing this light is straightforward. The 2-wire design has a power lead and a ground wire for easy hookup, and the rectangular housing mounts directly to a flat surface. It measures 4" long x 2" tall x 1" deep with 3" between mounting holes (center to center). Just secure the white ABS base with two screws, attach the wiring, snap on the amber lens, and you’re done.

Durable Build That Lasts: Sealed LED and Tough Housing

Built to handle the elements, this light uses a durable white ABS housing and an acrylic amber lens that keeps the LEDs protected. The LEDs last up to 50 times longer than incandescent bulbs, staying bright and consistent over time. It’s DOT compliant, P2 rated, and backed by a lifetime warranty on the LEDs, so you can count on it to keep working mile after mile.

It will allow to to adjust the tow height of my Coleman Columbia tent trailer. I use two different vehicles and due to the load in them I can level the trailer for easier towing. I give it 6 stars out of 5.

Great!

by:

I should have looked at the photos more closely, as the wiring comes directly out of the rear of the light. The wiring on the OEM light I replaced was a bit more flexible for mounting the light on the fronts of the two fenders on my tow dolly. Also, the mounting holes for the hardware were a larger diameter than I expected, so I had to use washers to keep the smallish bolts from pulling through. On the other hand, the LED lights are brighter than the incandescent bulbs in the OEM lights and they will NOT come loose from road vibration as did the cheesy bulbs and bulb mounts in the OEM lights. Overall, a definite step up for use. The only complaint was the extra time deciding how to accomplish the wiring and mounting.

Item was as advertised. Bright and easy to install. The ordering and delivery process was perfect as usual.

by:

I bought the whole set of LED lights - side and front side marker, tail lights, rear marker bar. It was quite a project getting them all in as they were of course slightly different than the 13-year old originals. But it turned out well and I was very pleased with the quality of all the components.

All trailer parts are doing well. Saltwater even.

by:

I recently placed two separate orders (the side marker lights and a new jack) with etrailer and both arrived quickly (despite opting for ground shipping) and the quality of the items is great. I wholeheartedly recommend etrailer to anyone needing any type of trailer parts/supplies.

Lights and jack are working great. Would buy again.

by:

Fit and matched perfectly.

by:

Exact fit replacement for the one attacked by that rogue traffic cone

by:

The lights arrived quickly I was able to install them exactly where the old lights were .the.measurements on the new lights. We're exact. Great clearance lights for our RV
Will order more as the old bulb style quit working.

by:

Installed 5 new LED cab lights on my rv today. Time will tell regarding their longevity. So far all great.

by:

This is my second order of these lights. The first order was a test to see if I like the way they look to replace my old cracked and dirty incandescent lights. Once I put the new lights on my trailer, I knew I had to replace all of my lights because they look so great! They make my old 1999 Jayco look like new!

Makes my vintage Alaskan camper look great. Front and back

Perfectly. Working as expected. I have referred e trailer to many people and friends. Thank you

by:

Well, they are just lights – amber and red. But, I upgraded all my trailer lights to LED’s, and these continue to look and function great.

by:

These look great on the MoHo! Great replacement for the old 2X4 lights with 3” mounting hole spacing. Easy installation, and should eliminate the frustration of having a dozen or more incandescent bulbs to manage. As others have said, check the polarity to make sure they are lit up before making up the final connections or crimps.

by:

I ordered 14 clearance lights and they just tossed all of them in a box without padding or protection so they all got beat up and scuffed. Luckily none broke but now I have to polish out scuff marks on all 14 lenses. I would highly recommend they package better and show the customer they give a [rip] about the product someone purchased….

by:

Decided to replace all of them after one broke..(The housing part, not the lens) They appear to be good quality. Time will tell if they last. Fitment wise, they fit and line up just like the ones that were on our 2006 Born free 24ft RB. Pretty happy all in all.

by:

I replaced all the incandescent running lights on my RV with these LED versions last year. The installation went as expected and they new lights are brighter and operated perfectly all season long. The information provided by etrailer online was exactly what was needed to make the proper selection and the service was exemplary as always. Thank you etrailer!

@Rhex Glad we had the right fit for you Rhex! It is awesome how much longer the LED's last over the incandescent bulbs.

Good value. All lights replaced with LED inside and outside. Better lighting all around. Not difficult since I was able to get close fit to original incandescent lights.

@JamesG Glad to hear it! What did you install this on?

by:

1. E trailer is one of the best businesses I've worked with - they are quick in service AND their service extends to expert, HELPFUL advice on products (in person or through a very user-friendly website often with video)
2. The lights work very well - clear, bright, dependable - - - like lights should. The reason I order more, or need replacement lenses, is that I have running lights on the front fender of my teardrop camper - perfect for getting hit by stones and road debris - I suppose I should devise a kind of screen or something to protect them - but for now, getting a few extra replacement lens or the occasional replacement light (as listed here) is fine.

by:

Extremely satisfied with this product. Purchased as a lens replacement for a 90s camper with bargman 34-59-012 lights, and they snapped right into the old housing! Thanks etrailer!

by:

These led marker lights are super bright and easy to install.

by:

Excellent product . I replaced all the red and amber clearance and side marking lights on my 1989 Holiday Rambler trave trailer with LED ones recommended by a etrailer representative and they look and work better than the original ones when the travel was new. I highly recommend etrailer.com for all your RV needs

  • How to Wire Trailer Clearance Lights with Black and Red Wires
The brown wire for your trailer wiring should be for the running lights while the white wire should be for ground. Typically clearance lights use black for power and white for ground, like part # MCL32AB, but in the case of black and red wiring the black is typically ground while the red is for power. This can vary between products but you can simply touch the black power from the light to the white wire from the trailer wiring and then the red wire to your brown wire. If that doesn't...

We do have a light that is virtually identical, the Optronics LED Trailer Clearance or Side Marker Light # MCL32RB for red and # MCL32AB for amber. • How To Wire Clearance Light With Black And Red Wires
Hello John. Generally on the trailer side the green wire will be for the right turn/brake light. Wire color on a trailer is not always universal though. For the clearance lights, generally the red wire is for power and the black is for ground. It would help a lot to know exactly what light you have, but you certainly should still be able to use the lights. Provided the green wire is indeed the right turn wire you will connect the green wire to the red wire on the light. Then just run...

  • Does All Trailer Wiring Use the Correct Colors
Hey Richard, so not every trailer wiring setup uses the industry wire colors unfortunately so in those cases you need to wire by function instead. So if your RV has green for running lights that is what you need to match that circuit to on your marker light that is black. You can use a circuit tester like part # PTW2992 to determine the functions of the wires if you aren't sure what does what.
