Question:
Looking at an LED tail light - it says it comes with 3 wires - on my left of the trailer it has the yellow for stop and turn and brown for running - so how do I match up to the 3 wire LED? And then for a clearance light - my trailer only needs one wire, brown, for running lights - so how does this match up?? And does each LED need to be grounded separately??

When it comes to wiring an LED taillight like the Sealed 4" Round LED Trailer Stop, Turn and Tail Light # STL42RB with Pigtail Harness, # A45PB, the red wire is for stop and turn, the black for running lights, and the white wire will need to be attached to a clean and corrosion free bare metal surface on the trailer.
As for a clearance light having two wires like the Rectangular LED Trailer Clearance and Side Marker Light, # MCL32AB, you will ground the white wire and connect the black wire to your running lights.
So to answer your question, yes, you will want to ground each taillight separately.
