Hello John. Generally on the trailer side the green wire will be for the right turn/brake light. Wire color on a trailer is not always universal though.

For the clearance lights, generally the red wire is for power and the black is for ground. It would help a lot to know exactly what light you have, but you certainly should still be able to use the lights. Provided the green wire is indeed the right turn wire you will connect the green wire to the red wire on the light. Then just run the black wire to ground and you will be good to go.

Hey John, how did things go wiring those clearance lights to the green trailer wire? Your results could really help others sorting out similar color mismatches on their trailers.
