Heavy loads build heat fast, and that can lead to fade or warping if it’s not controlled. This 13" Kodiak hub-and-rotor assembly uses a vented rotor that moves air through the casting to shed heat efficiently. The machined cast iron construction keeps braking smooth and consistent, while the balanced one-piece design helps prevent vibration under load. That means steady braking performance even on long hauls.
Moisture and road salt can take a toll on bare metal, but this hub-and-rotor is finished with a Dacromet plating rated for 300- to 400-hour salt-spray resistance. The coating shields the cast iron surface against rust and corrosion, making it well-suited for trailers that see wet or salty environments. It’s the kind of protection that keeps parts in service longer with less prep or maintenance needed down the road.
Swapping out brake components doesn’t have to be a fight. This single-piece hub-and-rotor assembly comes balanced and machined so contaminants can’t get between the hub and rotor surfaces. It includes pre-installed standard races plus 5/8" wheel studs and a screw-in polycarbonate oil cap—ready for bearings #25580 (inner) and #02475 (outer), along with a 2.250" ID seal (sold separately). The result is a straightforward install and a smoother ride when it’s all buttoned up.
When you’re building or refurbishing a heavy-duty setup, consistency matters. This unit fits 8,000 lb axles, works with wheel sizes 16" and larger, and uses an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern with 5/8" studs. The included races—inner #25520 and outer #02420—match common bearing sizes for dependable fitment across standard trailer spindles built for this rating. It’s made to pair right up with Kodiak calipers, brackets, and pads for an all-around solid brake system.
1. Count the lug holes
Look at the wheel hub or the back of the wheel and count how many lug holes there are(also called bolt holes).
Common configurations include: 4-lug, 5-lug, 6-lug and 8 lug
2a. For even lug counts (4-lug, 6-lug, 8-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole directly across to the center of the hole opposite it.
Common configurations: 4 on 4", 6 on 5.5", 8 on 6.5"
2b. For odd lug counts (5-lug)
Measure from the center of one lug hole to the outer edge of the hole directly across (not center-to-center since there's no directly opposite hole).
Common configurations: 5 on 4.5" (most popular), 5 on 5", 5 on 4.75", 5 on 5.5"

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer.com, and today we're gonna take a look at this Kodiak Dacromet 13 inch hub and rotor, eight on 6 1/2 inch bolt pattern and 8,000 pound axle capacity. Now, Kodiak's hub and rotor assemblies make it easy to change from drum brakes to disk brakes. And this single piece assembly is gonna make installation a snap, whether you're retrofitting or switching from drum brakes. This is made of machine cast iron with a corrosion-resistant dacromet coating. It's balanced for a smooth ride and furnished with industry standard races. And this cast iron construction ensures a favorable friction coefficient for necessary stopping power.
The machined process minimizes run out and warping, and contaminants can't get into between the rotor and hub. The dacromet plating has a 300 to 400 hour salt spray rating. And let me give you a view from the top here to show you the vented design. This features this vented design that effectively dissipates the heat preventing heat related damage. Now, the 5/8th of an inch wheel studs and this screw in polycarbon oil cap are included.
The inner and outer bearings, the grease seals and the oil seals, are all sold separately. But we do list the numbers of those parts at the bottom of this product page under bearing race and seal information. Again, this rotor is 13 inch in diameter and it has an axle capacity of 8,000 pounds, the bolt pattern is eight on 6 1/2 inch, and this will fit wheel sizes of 16 inches and larger, and this is made in the USA. Well, that's gonna conclude our look today, I do hope that it was helpful for you. Again, my name is Andy, thank you for joining me..

Correct fit
product was delivered quickly but difficult to reach about product questions
Very nice company to work with.Product showed up two weeks earlier than promised,I was very pleased.
As always fast shipping and great prices
Great products at fair prices :)
I've run many miles, well over 200k with these hub/rotors, the larger outer bearings hold up much better than the 7k units, and oil bath stay cooler and maintaining is simplified, no messy grease to change brakes, and unscrew the covers to dump oil and refill if water gets in. The only issue is the rubber o-ring cracks and leaks so get better oil resistant o-rings as spares before they leak
Just as described :)
It seemed to fit just fine. Thank you for verifying the size for me before I purchased. Never had an issue with etrailer

Hey neighbor! I'm happy to hear everything work out for ya! We always want to make sure that you are getting the right part the first time. No one ever wants to deal with returns or exchanges. :)
upon arrival the rotor was beaten badly from shipping and missing the cap with the seal.
These are a must for anyone who uses their trailer for commercial purposes, high annual miles, outstanding braking performance with the disk brakes, low maintenance easy to check and change lube, great capacity at 8k that works with the standard 7k axle, these are excellent when paired with heavy duty 17.5 wheels and tires for long haul high mileage users, these hubs use a larger outer bearing than the 7k hub rotors or drums which has about a 25% larger bearing area, these are the answer to bearing and breaking woes compared to 7k grease and drum systems, more than pleased with these, I'd give them 10 stars if I could. One side note, these require a different caliper mounting bracket if switching from 7k disk system, but the same calipers will work just fine. If you were thinking about putting on disk brakes, just go straight to this system and be done with it, I highly recommend this upgrade

Im just as happy with these as my first review, one thing to note, the mount bolt rubber bushings get sloppy after a while, and the bolts need blue loc-tite when removed and reinstalled to keep them from occasionally backing out.
Do you have a question about this Trailer Hubs and Drum?
