Today we're going to take a look at the Kodiak 13" diameter Dacromet hub and rotor for a 7,000 pound axle. It has an 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern with half-inch diameter studs. Now this is a nice single piece hub and rotor assembly. Makes installation a snap, whether you're retrofitting or switching from drum brakes. The one-piece machine process will minimize runout and warping. So it's a balanced unit, provides a nice smooth ride.
Also since it's one whole assembly, the contaminants can't get in between the rotor and hub like on a slip-on rotor assembly. It does use the vented design. You can see the vents right here. This will effectively dissipate the heat, prevents any heat-related damage. Does use half-inch diameter wheel studs and industry-standard bearing races already pre-installed for the outer and inner bearings.
Now this is a cast iron construction, ensures a favorable friction coefficient for necessary stopping power. And it does use a Dacromet finish on it to provide corrosion resistance for freshwater and limited saltwater use. This plating does meet the 300 to 400 hour salt spray rating.Again on the fits on this, it'll fit an axle capacity of 7,000 pounds. It's 3,500 pounds capacity per hub and rotor. So when this is used with one on the other side, it'll meet your 7,000 pound axle capacity.
It does use the wheel size of 16 inches and larger. We mentioned the bolt pattern on this is 8 on 6-1/2". Wheel lug size it uses is a half inch. Rotor diameter again is 13 inches. And the bearings and seals are not included.
Those we do sell separately. They're usually listed on this product page as a related product. It does use the inner bearing of Part Number 25580. Outer bearing, Part Number of 14125A. And the Seal Number of RG06-070.But that should do it for the review on the Kodiak 13" diameter Dacromet hub and rotor for 7,000 pound axles with the 8 on 6-1/2" bolt pattern and the half-inch diameter studs.
