This surge-type actuator automatically applies your trailer brakes in sync with your tow vehicle’s deceleration for smooth, controlled stops every time. Its hydraulic system is designed specifically for disc brakes, delivering the high pressure they need without a delay. The unique roller design inside the housing reduces resistance as it telescopes, creating a clean, straight-line push that helps prevent binding when the trailer shifts forward under braking.
Built from sturdy, durable steel, this actuator stands up to hauling big loads and hard work. It resists bending and flexing in jackknife situations and is rated for up to 8,000 lbs gross trailer weight with a maximum tongue weight of 800 lbs. The heavy-duty 2-5/16" ball coupler is integrated into the design, so you get a solid, consistent connection without extra pieces to bolt on.
The zinc plating on this actuator adds an important layer of protection against rust and corrosion. That makes it well suited for trailers that see water, road salt, or extended outdoor storage. Even after long trips or wet launches, the finish helps keep the housing and internal components in working shape season after season.
Installation is simple with a bolt-on design made for a 3" wide channel tongue. Using standard mounting holes, it lines up easily without cutting or welding. Once in place, the built-in breakaway lever is ready to provide safety backup if the trailer ever separates—keeping control of things when it matters most.

This actuator is the exact replacement for the model 6. It also came with a solenoid, which was a good surprise.
I had brakes sticking, but not anymore.
Installed in the fall - haven't got the chance to tow with it yet, but it was an exact match from our original one.
Everything else from Etrailer has been exactly what was expected so I don't forsee any issues.
Working good
The new actuator bolt holes didn't line up with the previous actuator that was supposed to be the same.
Solid product, this thing is built to l ast
Fast and easy
Good product
Exactly what I ordered, and got it a day early. Great people to do business with. Thanks

Identical replacement
Fast shipping and as advertised.
So much more reliable than the one it r eplaced.
Absolutely love it solid material all around haven't had one bit of an issue if I had another big trailer to put one on I'd buy it again Great price as well
This actuator was easy to install and has been flawless. Thanks again for your help figuring out which one I needed.
Kayla did an excellent job making sure the Titian brake actuator new part would replace the old. Delivery on time all as promised. When the need arises will definitely be ordering from them.
Product works but when I back up. The actuator moves back and the brakes go on! Don’t know how to fix this. Now I put a c clamp on it to stop it from going in.

Thanks for your review of your Titan actuator coupler T4747200, while the C-clamp works, there is a safer way to deactivate the surge brakes on your coupler. You can use an item called a reverse lock out. This will get signal from your tow vehicle when it is in reverse and will NOT apply the brakes on the trailer allowing you to back up. For your Model 6 actuator you can use the T4748800 lock out solenoid, and you may want a cover like T4836800183 as a solenoid shield that will help protect the reverse lock out solenoid. You will need to make sure that the solenoid is connected to the tow vehicle reverse light circuit, so if you have a 7-way on the trailervehicle then you would need to splice in and connect to the correct line. I have included a link to one of our help articles that shows the various locations of the reverse line depending on how the trailer is wired. If you have a 4-way flat, you can convert it to a 5-way taht will splice into the vehicle side reverse wiring, and the kit HM47890 includes both the trailer and vehicle side wiring harness. Another option for wiring the vehicle is to use a 5-Way adapter like part 47515 which will allow you to leave the 4-Way wiring connector on your vehicle and add the reverse light circuit to the adapter when towing this trailer.
