Question:
Do you handle this part number 85840? Atwood master cylinder for disc brakes
asked by: Rick R
Expert Reply:
Atwood is no longer in business, and the part number you asked about has unfortunately been discontinued, so it is no longer available. While I know it's not the answer you were looking for, the best option is a replacement for your Atwood actuator for disc brakes, and you can choose from the hitch ball size you need to couple to as well as the weight rating.
Based on my research it looks like that master cylinder was for 6k to 8k rated actuators, so you can choose from any of the following as replacements:
- Dexter DX7.5 Drop-N-Go Brake Actuator - Disc Brakes - 2" Ball - 7,500 lbs # 099-175-20
- Titan Zinc-Plated Brake Actuator - Disc - 2-5/16" Ball - 8,000 lbs # T4747200
- Demco Hydraulic Brake Actuator w/ 4" Drop - Disc - 2-5/16" Ball - 8,000 lbs # DM8758811
I have also added some links below to video reviews for you to check out as well if you'd like to take a look.
