Hi there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today we're gonna take a quick look at this Timken replacement bearing. This is a high-quality LM48548 tapered roller bearing that's gonna replace an inner bearing for your AH25555F agricultural hub. And this is going to be a great quality bearing you can trust because it does come from Timken. If you're not familiar, Timken is one of the most well-known and highly trusted brands in the industry because their products are engineered with higher quality controls. That's gonna ensure tighter tolerances and runout than other manufacturers, which in turn is gonna help reduce vibrations and noise, help lead to longer bearing life when you have it properly installed.
And that higher quality is even evident in the way that this product comes individually packaged. And it does have some surface oil into it so that it's going to help reduce the chance of any surface rust. So when you get it, it's gonna be in really great condition ready for you to pack it or oil it up and get it installed right away. And this does use the industry standard number there on the top. You can see that LM48548 printed there.
So if you see that number on your current bearing, you can trust it is gonna be a very simple swap out to get the new one replaced just to give you extra confirmation there. If you don't see that number, the other way to get extra confirmation is by the race number. So if you see any of those race numbers printed on your races, that'd be another way to confirm for you. And then the third option if you don't see any of those numbers anywhere is gonna be to measure, and that's gonna be a little bit more difficult because it is such a precise measurement. So I would recommend using some digital calibers that go down to a thousandth of an inch.
We'll measure that inner diameter there on the bearing. You can see with this one, we're sitting right at 1.375 inches. Again, that's very precise. So it can be kind of difficult to get that measurement. So if you see any of those numbers printed on the bearing that you're replacing, that's gonna make it much easier for you.
