Hi, there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Timken replacement bearing and race set. Now, this is a high quality L44649 tapered roller bearing and a L44610 race that will replace an inner or outer bearing for your BTR spindle or as a, it can also work as a replacement for the outer bearing on your number 84 spindle. This is a Timken product, so you can trust it is gonna be great quality for you. If you're not familiar, Timken is one of the most well known and highly trusted brands in the industry because their products are engineered with higher quality controls which ensures tighter tolerances and runout than your other manufacturers. That's gonna help reduce your vibrations and noise and lead to a longer bearing life when properly installed.
And that higher quality is even evident in the way the product is packaged. It's going to come to you individually packaged and oiled. So when you get it, it's gonna be in great condition, ready to be in installed. So a very high quality option here for you. Of course, you do wanna make sure that you're getting the right replacement for your setup.
So this does use the industry standard numbers. Those are printed on here. So on the bearing you can see that L44649 on that inner circle or cone. And then for our race, we've got the L44610 there. So if you see either one of those numbers on your bearing or race, you can trust this is gonna be a very simple swap out.
But if you don't see either one of those numbers, you will need to use some digital calipers to measure here. So for our bearing, we'll measure that inner diameter. Now, that is a very specific measurement, so I recommend using some digital calipers that measure down to the thousandth place of an inch. So for ours here, you can see we are sitting right at 1.063 of an inch. And then for our race, we'll measure the outer diameter and that is 1.980.
So again, it's gonna be much easier if you can find those industry standard numbers that are printed on there. So make sure that that's gonna line up or work as a replacement for the ones that you currently have. But if you have to, you can measure that. It's gonna be very precise for you. So that completes our look for today. Again I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Thanks for watching.
