Hi, there, I'm Michael with etrailer.com. Today, we're gonna take a quick look at this Timken replacement bearing and race set. This is a high quality L44643 bearing, it's tapered roller bearing and a L44610 race that's gonna replace an inner or outer bearing and race for your BT-8 spindle on your trailer. If you're not familiar, Timken is one of the most well known and highly trusted brands in the industry because their products are engineered with higher quality controls which ensures tighter tolerances and run outs than other manufacturers. That's gonna help reduce your vibrations and noise and lead to a longer bearing life when properly installed. That higher quality is even evident in the way the product is individually packaged and oiled so that when it arrives to you, or it arrives in great condition ready to be installed once you get it packed and lubricated and that sort of thing.
This does use the industry standard numbers. So on our bearing here, you can see on the inner circle or cone, we have that L44643 printed on there. So if you see that on your current bearing, you'll know it's an exact match, you can easily swap it out because it is very important to make sure you're getting the right replacement. And then on our race, we've got that L44610 number printed there. So even if on your bearing you can't find that bearing number, if you have that race, you can trust this is gonna fit right in place that original.
If you don't see either of those numbers, then you'll have to resort to measuring, which is a very precise task because these are very specific. So it's going to go down to a thousandth of an inch. So it's a good idea to use some digital calipers, like we have here. So if we measure the inner diameter of our bearing, we're looking at 1.000 of an inch. And then for our race, if we measure that outer diameter, we're gonna be looking at 1.980.
So again, it's gonna be much easier if you can just locate those industry standard numbers on there to make sure that you're getting the right replacements. But if not, you can resort to measuring. But this is gonna be a great set, high quality, good performance for you. So a great way to go. That completes our look for today.

I ordered Timken bearings because they are NOT crap from China land. They are made in the USA!!!!!!!!
Gets 5 stars because these are great Timken bearings. My fault that I ordered this Timken SET17 (with L68111 cups) for 3500 lb axles instead of the SET14 (with L68110 cups) to match 3700 lb axles. Same cones, but cup OD is different.
The industry standard for bearing part numbers is a great help in locating the brand part that I want. Timken bearings are made in the USE.
