Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Trailer Axles - Trailer Axle Beam With Super Lube Spindle - LC64FP

Hi everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Lippert trailer axle beam with Super Lube spindles. Now this is a trailer axle beam designed for trailers in the 2,500 to 3,500 pound axle capacity range. So that's going to cover a lot of your utility, cargo, and equipment trailers. And this is a beam only axle. So this will not include hubs, brakes, springs and other insulation components.

You're going to have to pick those up separately, but we do have those items available here at etrailer. So this is going to be a great option for you to consider when you're replacing an existing axle, but you want to reuse compatible parts or choose your own setup. Now the most important thing to verify before picking this up is going to be the fit. So looking at the length of this axle, measuring hub face to hub face, it's going to be 93 inches. And then measuring from between the spring centers, that's going to be 80 inches.

And we do have that information listed on this product page. But if those dimensions match your existing axle, then this is going to be designed to fit the same basic trailer layout. Now taking a closer look here at this end, which is a little bit cut off there from my wide view. I am kind of in a compact space studio-wise. So being that this is a 93 inch long axle, it is kind of hard to fit into frame here.

But I do want to give you a close up here of one of these spindles here. So this is going to be a Super Lube spindle. That's going to allow you to obviously add grease through the end of the spindle to make routine bearing lubrication easier. And as you can see, this is already going to come with grease, but you don't want to use this grease. This grease has specifically been placed on here for protecting this spindle during shipping and transport.

So when you get this, you want to make sure that you clean this grease all off. And then when you're installing your components, installing this axle, do use fresh new grease for your components. But definitely don't use this grease. It could have picked up contaminants along the way. Also this does come pre-wired, so your wiring is going to be here. You'll just pull that out to wire up to your brakes. This is going to be obviously brake ready, accepting compatible 10 inch by two and a quarter inch hub and brake assemblies. And this axle does use an underslung configuration. That's going to position your springs below the axle for easier loading and unloading.
