Features to know about

Build the Axle Assembly You Need

Replacing an axle doesn't always mean replacing every component. This beam-only axle gives you the axle and straight spindles while letting you choose compatible hubs, brakes, springs, and other components (sold separately). Whether you're replacing damaged running gear or building a trailer from the ground up, you can finish the assembly with the components that work with your trailer.

Super Lube Spindles Simplify Bearing Maintenance

Routine bearing service takes less work with Super Lube spindles. A grease zerk in the end of each spindle works with a dust cap that has a removable rubber plug, letting you add fresh grease through the spindle instead of removing the hubs for routine lubrication.

Overslung Suspension for the Right Ride Height

This overslung axle positions the leaf springs above the axle, raising the trailer compared to an underslung configuration. It's the right choice when you're replacing an existing overslung axle or building a trailer that needs additional ground clearance.

Video Transcript for Review of Lippert Trailer Axles - Trailer Axle Beam With Super Lube Spindle - LC33PK

Hi, everybody, Andy here with etrailer. Let's take a quick look at this Lippert Trailer Axle Beam with Super Lube Spindles. Now, this is a trailer axle beam that's designed for trailers in the 2,500 to 3,500-pound axle capacity range. That's going to cover many of your utility, cargo, and equipment trailers. And this is a beam-only axle, so your hubs, brakes, springs, and other installation components are gonna be purchased separately from this, but we do have all those options available here at etrailer. So, this is going to be a great option for you if you're replacing an existing axle but you want to reuse the compatible parts or just choose your own setup.

Now, the most important thing to verify before buying this is going to be the fit. This axle is going to measure 86 inches from hub face to hub face. And then it's going to be, between the spring centers here, so I'm gonna try to line that up here for you real quick. So, measuring center of hole to center of hole. My arm span here isn't as long as I though it was.

You probably won't be able to see that, but center to center, we're gonna be right at 68 1/2 inches between the spring centers. So, if those dimensions match your existing axle, then this is designed to fit that same basic trailer layout. Now, I wanna give you a close up here of this side here. For maintenance, this axle has Super Lube Spindles, and that's going to allow you to add grease through the end of the spindle to make routine bearing lubrication easier. By the way, you see that these are going to come with grease applied on either end.

That's really to protect the spindles during shipping. When you get this, before you install your hubs and your brakes, it's important that you wipe all of this grease off, clean it up, and then use fresh grease when you're installing your hub and your brakes. And you don't wanna use this grease, wipe it all off, use fresh grease. And you see the wiring here as well. It's gonna be pre-wired.

So, this is going to be brake-ready excepting compatible 10-inch by 2 1/4-inch hub and brake assemblies. And this axle uses an over-slung configuration, meaning the leaf springs are going to sit on top of the axle. And as you know, that's going to raise the trailer's ride height and provide more ground clearance underneath. So, this is going to be a replacement axle beam for, again, common utility, cargo and equipment trailers. It's going to give you an over-slung setup for additional ground clearance, easy access to bearing lubrication, and the ability to add compatible hubs and brakes separately. If you aren't real excited about doing the installation yourself, on this product page underneath the photo section, we have a link that will take you to our Installer Locator. Click that link, answer the questions it has for you, and that locator will find an installer in your area that etrailer has partnered with to help you with the installation. Well, again, my name's Andy, thank you for joining me.
