Wedge-shaped, white plastic vent cover opens and closes with a hand-operated crank.I’m writing this review before installing the vent so I can’t attest to its durability/longevity. This is a lightweight unit but it should suffice for use about three times a year for a couple of days at a time. This unit is affordable; well under $200. It is a next step up from a passive vent with no fan.
Five stars to E-Trailer for processing my order same day and getting it on UPS Ground where it took the three days to get delivered in time for my install on the weekend. I'm assuming this product deserves 5 stars as well since it is what it was advertised to be. My only minor ding is for the two missing screws that are needed to hold the screen in place. The $20 for the 'installation kit' shipped a tube of urethane caulking two sets of screws, one for the mounting topside (plenty, thank you) and the bottom ones for the trim. But did not see the short 1/2"? for the screen. I had to use my old ones, one of which fell down a floor vent so I need to hit up a hardware store for it. The vent went in with little effort. Just took my time scraping off the old caulking and used plumbers putty, instead of the caulking for under the flange (in case I have to rip this up again). The tube provided just enough for a thick coat of goo to cover the flange and where it meets the roof. I have a rubber roof, so this was perfect. I'll rate the other things I purchased once I install and use them.

Chris, I cant comment on the actual use of the fan since I have not hooked it up to a battery to test it yet. We were planning on using it the week after the install, but stuff came up. Sorry I cant answer it. If youre patient, Ill respond once I do get around to it.

The vent is working fine. It makes about the same amount of noise as the original one did. The knob is a little shorter than the original crank, so a little harder to reach for my wife, whos shorter than me. The vent works very good. Just ordered another one minus the fan for the front of the trailer.
ETRAILER WAS SO EASY TO WORK WITH, VERY HELPFUL CUSTOMER SERVICE OVER THE PHONE, GOT US TO THE RIGHT PRODUCT, SHIPPING WAS FAST AND THE VENT/ FAN WAS JUST WHAT WE WERE LOOKING FOR.

Ive had the product a year and everything is working great!
This vent fit my need perfectly to replace a damaged, rusty and irreparable one in my 50 year old newly purchased camper. Etrailer.com was easy to find and order and they were very prompt with my order. The vent was easy to install and once I sealed it according to their instructions and with additional roof work being completed I have no more roof leaks! The Ventline Ventadome Trailer Roof Vent w/12V Fan worked out very well. The installation was quick and easy. The fan operates as expected and the new style knob works well to open the lid.

The Ventline Roof Vent is a very good vent. I used it on my enclosed cargo trailer. Should I ever need another roof vent, without a doubt, it would be Ventline.
I was happy to find the roof vents I needed on etrailer. Other sites did not have them. Called their number and was greeted by very courteous and knowledgeable person. Very helpful. I ordered two vents and they were at my front door 2 days later. Can’t recommend them enough. Their web site is on my homepage now for future part needs.
This is a great vent/fan. It went in quickly and hooked up easily. I replaced a vent without the fan, but my rig was wired for a dc fan. so it was an easy hookup. A good quality unit, fan is quiet and works well. The package was delivered in 3 days, 1 day ahead of schedule. I will definitely use etrailer again.
The interior trim was not correct for me application. The flange was not tall enough and did not cover the roof joists. I had to re-use the old one to cover the gap from the ceiling to the vent.
Received my new fan for my trailer was easy to install and a very good quality product came with everything that I needed to install it on my toy hauler thank you again and I appreciate your products

Product worked great in my 91’ Dutchmen fifth wheel, and now I have a fan where I didn’t before!
Happy to have these replacements in. The white is a good opaque and the turn handle is easy to operate. Finally have lit areas again.
Excellent product! Easy to install and works like a charm. Particularly liked being able to cut the trim piece to fit depth of ceiling. The hardest part was removing the old one! Will buy other products from this company. Great service, quick delivery, exactly what was ordered. Well done!

Good replacement. Has held up well. Replaced on a metal roof and original was riveted down so a little harder to install, but doable.

How quiet is the fan? We have a new fan and low is extremely noisy. Is this because the blades are plastic?
