Garnish for Dometic FanTastic Roof Vent - 4-1/2" Leg - 14-1/4" x 14-1/4" - Off White

Two corners of the ceiling vent fan garnish in the bathroom of our 2014 Tiffin Allegro RED 33AA had cracked. Searched on line and found a replacement at etrailer.com. The replacement was shipped promptly and fit perfectly. Pleased with the quality and service.1665601

This came with a 4 1/2 inch leg the leg on my old one was inch and a half it had some lines on the side of the leg one of the lines was at inch and a half so I trimmed on that one and it fit perfect1673124

This unit was not what I expected. Dometec has, in the past year, modified a number of the fan products, specifically the upgrade so that nothing fits without major modifications. Quality is good but, in my case I had to return it.1666089

This item replaced the original which had cracked due to deterioration over time. It was mostly ok but required some cutting to modify it to fit correctly. It did the job ok and I was happy to be able to get it, but it did require some work.1349313

It appears to be ok. The RV is 23 years old and in like new condition, so I was very pleased to find the part to restore the appearance of the fan housing.

Nice to receive a part and have it fit perfectly! On the down side, had to cut the 4 1/2” extension down to 2” throwing half the plastic away. The plastic cut well with a metal jigsaw blade.1533755

Not too much can be written about a RV vent garnish moulding. Most brands are made from thin plastic and are fragile. Care must be taken not to over tigthen mounting screws when installing or the lip will crack. I received very good service from E-Trailer rep. Susan H. after a years time its still holding up. just like an oem product.

Anyone who owns an RV knows how the vent garnishes crack at the corners. This replacement garnish will correct that.

I'm pleased with the replacement and the assistance I received in ordering the precise part for my 2008 RV. But I am even more pleased with the service I received when I, unfortunately, had to return the part due to damage during shipping. I had to do some adjustments by cutting an 1/2" or so in order for it to fit perfectly into the AC space. I was hoping for a more sturdy product. But, it did the job.956801

I find the product to hold up to standards. However, the motor is a bit noisy. I purchased the same product from a different distributor and there is quite a difference on the noise factor, quieter. Perhaps, it was the manufacturer.
