how far does this item extend out . i am trying to see if i can use this item for my boat. the boat lift to the dock is 29.5 inches. will this extend that far?

The TorkLift GlowStep Stow N' Go Scissor Steps # TLA7844 is going to extend out roughly 38 inches from where it installs. I say roughly since it's a scissor step and how far the steps extend changes the distance they stick out.
