These aluminum scissor steps create a steady path into your camper no matter where you park. The 4-step design adjusts to an entry height of 31"–38" and holds up to 350 lbs without flexing. Even on uneven ground, the steps stay solid and feel like real stairs instead of a shaky ladder.
Each 20" wide x 6" deep tread has a built-in SureGrip surface that grips your shoes, so you don’t slip even when it’s wet. Glow-in-the-dark tape lights up each step for up to 10 hours after just 5 minutes of light exposure—no wiring or batteries needed. It makes nighttime entry safer for everyone, including pets and kids.
Made from aircraft-grade aluminum with stainless steel hinges, these steps resist rust and stand up to years of weather and travel. The hinges are bolted together so you can easily remove or add a step later if your setup changes. They stay strong and smooth through frequent use.
The pull-out design lets you extend the steps when you need them and fold them up when you’re ready to move. They’re light enough to handle solo and compact enough to stash away neatly. Many users like how quick it is to mount and dismount the steps when it’s time to hit the road.

Hello, neighbors. Steve here with etrailer.com. Today we're looking at the TorkLift GlowStep camper scissor steps. And this particular model is a four-step model in aluminum and it's 20 inches wide on the steps and rated at 350 pounds. So getting into it, folks, these pull-out steps make it super, super easy to get in and out of your towable or your truck bed camper. The nice scissor design lets you manually collapse and fold them up for travel.
And it's so simple. Just fold 'em up. You've even got a little set screw back here on the backside. Whenever you got 'em fold up enough, you could put that in there and they're not going to get loose on you. You can see the stainless steel hinges on the side.
They're bolted together. It makes it easy to add or remove one if you wanna remove one or replace a single step. And I'll fold these back out real quick. Okay, and they are made in the US. You're doing their entry height of 31 to 38 inches tall.
And again, the steps are 20 inches wide by six inches deep. And again, rated at 350 pounds. And they are made of an aircraft-grade aluminum and stainless steel construction. And like I mentioned about the stainless steel hinges as well. So very nice feature.
Now coming in from the top, you can kind of see they've got the built-in tread. That's gonna give you nice footing. So if it's wet, damp, snow, that kind of stuff, that'll give you some extra tread. And if you notice these little pieces of green tape, those are what they call their glow tape. So they can glow in the dark up to 10 hours with only five minutes of light exposure. I'll shut the overhead lights off. Hopefully you can kind of see that. And from a different angle, hopefully you can kind of see those lit up there. And I'll turn the overhead lights back on. So again, folks, you're gonna get everything here that you see before me, the steps. You're also gonna get a set of hardware. Lemme go back from above. I'll show you a little better. So I left it in the bag just 'cause there's a lot of bolts and nuts here and I'm kind of mocked up here on the step. So I wanna point out real quick, these little teeth kind of looking washers. Those are the only thing different than this image here, and that's what you're gonna get. So those star kinda washers, I was just mentioning, that dig in and kind of help hold everything tight, that's the only addition to everything here on the screen that you should get as well. So installing it, mounting everything should be pretty simple for you. So again, these are the TorkLift GlowStep camper scissor steps. Again, a four-step option. I'm Steven. Glad to hear it was an easy install, Paul! Adjustable feet are a good idea! I will see what TorkLift has to say about maybe adding them on in the future. : ) What did you install these on?

Nothing has really changed after another year. Steps still function great. Theyre still well attached to our FWC Fleet and they are still a PITA to fumble around with to attach them. I will likely never keep them permanently attached as I feel that the steps ....our couple year old version anyway....are not well designed for that and I would be concerned about the potential for over straining the attachment points and the attachment method wooden frame of camper with lag bolts on the camper because of over the road vibration. I still suggest that Torklift redesign the pin attachment method for connecting the steps to the attachment frame....wider, pointed pins with a wider hole to put them into and a correspondingly wider frame and attachment bracket to the pins into. If any of that makes sense. That would make the process simpler and easier....especially in cold weather andor the dark and it would be considerably stronger. Still...all things considered.....Im glad we have them. Even with the described flaws, I have yet to see anything better.
