Question:

I have still not found the part number to the 1987 Itasca gearbox, and motor, but I am sending a picture of it, maybe that will help identify the replacement.

If the RV steps you have on your 1987 Itasca have a linkage that looks like the part # LC379162 then there is a very strong possibility this is the correct part you'd need since this a very popular setup. It's also very possible your steps were replaced at least once since the RV was new which would explain the year difference.

This linkage fits the Kwikee 26 Series single steps like part # LC371136 which the mounting plate measures 24-3/8" wide x 10" deep. I attached a couple dimension pictures for you to compare to what you have to determine if this is a match for what you have as well.

I sent the picture you sent us to Kwikee to see if they could identify it and offer a replacement and they informed me that due to the age of your step and the picture replacement parts for it are no longer made anymore. Only solution is a new step like the part # LC371136 for a single step.
