Video Transcript for In-Depth Review of the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter Plug

Today, we're going to be taking a look at the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter Plug. This is a 50 amp male to 50 amp female. The Mighty Cord detachable RV Adapter Plug is for use in adapting 50 amp power for use with 50 amp trailers. This end right here would connect to the power inlet on your RV and the other end would connect to a standard 50 amp power cord. The detachable female receptacle with the locking ring makes hooking up to the RV quick and easy, and then it allows you to easily connect to campground power. The locking ring is a threaded connector that really helps secure the connection point from accidental disconnects.

It also helps create a nice weather tight connection point. The unit's constructed of a durable long lasting PVC construction. Just a really nice durable design, feels very heavy duty. That's going to do it for today's look at the Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter Plug, again 50 amp male to 50 amp female.

  • Is Female Side of Mighty Cord RV Power Cord Adapter Plug # A10-5050DAVP 30 or 50 Amp
I think the root of the confusion here is that there is a 30 amp and a 50 amp style of twist lock connector that both look really similar. The part # A10-5050DAVP does have the 50 amp style of twist lock. I attached two pictures to this page. The yellow connector shows a 30 amp twist lock connector. You'll note there is only one of the three slots that has a "L-shaped" curve. The white connector is the 50 amp style which has two of the L shaped curves.

The MightyCord RV Power Cord with Handle (50 Amp Male to Twist Lock Female Connector) part # A10-5025ED is not offered in a length of 15' long.
