Is this right for you? Product Expert Kathleen M says:

Yes, if you:

  • Are easily startled by cars whipping past your rig and want cameras on either side to add some extra "eyes"
  • Have a pretty cozy cab where only a small, out-of-the-way screen will fit
  • Prefer the from-the-factory look of a backup camera built into your third brake light

No, if you:

  • Want to be able to monitor all the cameras at the same time - the screen is so small it's hard to see much detail when viewing all
  • Haul an Airstream or toy hauler, which can cause interference with wireless systems
  • Often power wash your rig and need a camera with a tight seal to keep it from getting foggy
Wireless backup camera system has 3 waterproof cameras with night vision - 1 third brake light camera and 2 side marker light cameras. Touch screen, anti-glare monitor displays up to 4 cameras. Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

Haven’t had long but I really like it, bought this to go on my enclosed trailer because I go into areas that I need to turn around which requires backing up and some are really tight and the way I turn I can’t see what is behind me, this helps alot

Comments
After having this for a year i am glad i got it, its like having a second person to guide me backing up, i really like the motion sensing and all, I definitely feel more confident maneuvering around in tight areas and backing up to my house

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

Have not been out on the road yet but the install was easy even for a novice like me. My reflection 5th wheel was prewired so it was a plug and play for the rear camera. For the side cameras I used the two screws from the previous light. I put both screws in the top holes, (one behind the camera) as that seemed to secure it better then bothe screws not behind the camera. Instructions were a bit limited(or I didn't read them) on the side camera sync but I pressed enough buttons to figure it out. Picture looks great. Do watch for obstructions such as awning supports which will limit view. I also used silicone to keep the water out.

Comments
I find that i use the rear camera much more than the side cameras so i question whether i would have bought the side cameras again. The rear camera would cut in and out on the highway so I added a longer antenna and you have to make sure both antennas are straight up and down to get the best signal. All in all i get a good view behind the 35ft trailer and would buy the rear again.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

The installation was fairly easy. The trailer came prepped for the rear camera so, it was attached and linked. The side cameras involved a little work due to being close to the pass-through doors. They went on with a bit of cutting of the trailer skin. The problem is the right side trailer camera is reading that it's the left side and visa versa for the right. They are both installed correctly, facing back and the pairing button on the bottom. Also when the two side cameras paired they caused the rear camera to unpair. I re-paired the rear and now the right side ( left camera ) is unpaired. I've emailed Furrion for answers to my situation.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

If you own a 22 1/2' trailer and a SUV for towing you will find the range of the signal at its max with communication between camera and receiver. Meaning many times the signal is lost or there is a delay in the image. A vehicle will already be at your driver's side door when it shows up at your bumper on the screen. The view is VERY bubbled. Other than that LOVE LOVE LOVE it! Very helpful when it comes to backing up and hearing the individual assisting with instructions. No yelling needed and no disturbing your neighbors when parking.

Comments
I recommend adding part # WVOSAPANTEXT
Antenna Extension for Voyager Digital Wireless System - Compatible with WVCMS130AP and WVCMS10B
$36.98
to help boost the signal of the camera.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

This camera set up is a great addition to our Rv. However it’s not quite as advertised. Our 2022 RV that we just purchased came pre wired for these specific cameras but it is not wired for the whole security set up and the cameras can only be seen on the monitor when the running lights are on the Rv are on which only come on when hooked up to the truck and are on on the truck. The “trigger” for the side cameras would be the directional also not wired in on the marker lights on the RV thus a waste of money for the side cameras and security monitoring. Without the directional trigger while driving, only the back up camera is viewed on the monitor. Also there is no power supply for the monitor for in the RV. Great technology but falls short for plug and play.

Comments
When mounted in the cab, the monitor typically works as an observation system together with a Furrion rear mounted camera to see the back, and two side cameras, for traffic observation. When mounted in the coach, the monitor typically works as a security system together with a Furrion doorway camera. In order to keep the cameras on when not hooked up to your truck you will need to wire it by running a power wire to each camera then connecting them to a switch like item # 37212225
Single Rocker Switch - On/Off - Black
$14.86
. The switch will go directly to the battery in your trailer. You will need to turn the switch on while towing too, or the cameras will not be on. You should also add a 12V outlet in your trailer for the monitor to plug into when you are in the trailer like item # 37215105
12V Power Outlet for RVs - 1-7/16" Diameter - Hardwire - Plastic
$14.48
.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

I purchased the three Furrion Camera System which includes the rear, left and right side views. Overall the system is excellent with sharp, real time views. I had a cheaper rear camera on a different camper and while the view was fair, it does not compare to the Furrion. Coming home from Pennsylvania last August, we ran into some heavy rain. The right side camera began “clouding” up due to moisture inside the camera lens. Since the system was still under warranty, I contacted Furrion by email (they don’t take calls apparently) and their representative instructed me how to get a replacement. The process was relatively easy and I had a replacement camera within two weeks. Furrion customer service worked well. However I just got my travel trailer back from have some warranty work done and when I hooked up my monitor, the left side camera was cloudy. I went through the same process and I just received word that a replacement was on the way (save your emails). Even with the two side cameras having issues, I would still give it five stars due to customer service. Hopefully the new side cameras will stay clear (as they should even in wet weather) and the cameras I had replaced were just in a defective group.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

This camera system is a must-have! I had it installed for me so I can't speak as to ease of install, but they didn't mention any issues. I have never had an issue with connectivity. My trailer is 21' and there is about 33 feet from the monitor in the truck to the camera on the back. Nighttime view is great (see picture.) I travel solo and it lets me back up without a spotter and without having to GOAL every foot and a half to see where I am. Knowing where traffic is around me on the road is a a huge safety benefit. It helped me avoid an accident on the freeway last summer. I had just passed a slow moving vehicle and was signaling to go back into the right lane when a low sports car decided to pass that vehicle as well without waiting for me to get back over. It darted around it and went between it and my trailer, cutting them off and passing me on the right. He was completely hidden in all mirrors and windows due to being so low and in my blind spots, but I spotted his movement in the camera and stayed in my lane until he flew past. Another couple seconds and I wouldn't have been able to correct back. If it wasn't for the camera, I believe there would have been an accident. The hardest thing to get used to is the reverse view. I wish CW had done the step to change mirroring the view. When I see a car on the right in the monitor, I have to remember they are really on the left of my rig. Apparently there is a way to flip this to normal view but I haven't been able to do it yet. The monitor plugs into the cigarette lighter in the cab of the truck and I purchased a vehicle-specific mount for it from [online store]. I put an XL Scosche magnet on the back of the monitor. And a Scosche magnetic holder on the mount. It holds well through all seasons and is easy to take off when not in use. I would definitely purchase this again and have recommended it to others.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

the QR code worked for the product but I needed clarification so went to a [online video] site. There I was able to understand the very simple process. I modified the pedestal stand so it would fit in the center depression of my dash board on my 2020 Ram 1500. The system synced up almost instantly with the camera and once installed in the rear mount was able to secure a very clear rear camera picture. I can remove the monitor stand and secure it from view when not in use. The tiny screws for the rear camera can be a challenge glad extras were available as I lost two.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

Fairly easy to install. One thing - I wish the wiring on the side cameras was longer. It was a little tight to solder the wiring inside the propane tank compartment. I installed and used om maiden voyage. Awesome. I have a 42ft fifth wheel and the signal was strong. With the two cameras and rear camera I could everything super clear. I purchased the 5" monitor but I wish I got he 7". Still all good. I recommend this system 100%. Will never go without.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

Seem to be a great system so far but will take a long trip soon for a better evaluation. Installation was as easy as it gets because my travel trailer was prewired for a Furrion camera system. My only complaint so far is with the factory instructions being a little light on the pairing operation. I was getting extremely frustrated when my camera would not pair with the screen. I had power to the trailer but the blue light would not stay on for pairing. I finally started reviewing YouTube videos and trailer videos. I am not sure where I found it but the final solution was simple. So, 1) ensure the 7-way connector is connected to the tow vehicle, 2) ensure you haven't disconnected the trailer battery, 3) ensure your camera screen is plugged in, 4) actually start the tow vehicle and finally 5) turn on your parking lights. Why the parking lights have to be on I will never know because it is NEVER mentioned in the manual. If I turned them off, the camera lost pairing. Yes, parking lights are safer on the road but failing to pair if they are off just seems silly to me. Color screen has good clarity and remote microphone works pretty good.Depending on your priorities, you will have to adjust the camera angle to your liking but it's easy.

Camera works great. Video is excellent. Only issue is the mount for the screen. Since I don't tow all of the time I don't have it mounted and the screen moves all around. Would like to see a cup holder style mount option.

Comments
The camera has been easy to use. It has given me great vision when backing.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

Installation was a breeze due to our 2020 Grand Design 2670MK TT being pre-wired for this camera. Performance has been somewhat disappointing, though. Up front, in the cab of our pickup, the pic quality is adequate with fairly low signal strength. I intend to experiment more with a different antenna. We have not tried this device in low-light or no-light conditions. Note: Some RV's, such as our GD, have pre-wiring that only provides power to the camera only when the running lights are on. This is fine with us; but others may not like this setup.

Comments
After 1 yr, I still would give it 3 stars. We have the single camera setup. eTrailer is always great to work with but I would say this product is adequate at best. Display resolutionbrightness disappoints. Nerds might do better with a homebrew solution...which is ultimately where I think Im headed.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

Camera works as advertised. Wired camera into running lights 5th wheel. Took about 45 min to layout, drill, pull wire, caulk, and mount. I did install 3mm Diameter Snap on Ferrite Core Bead Choke Ring Cord RFI EMI Noise Suppressor Filter for USB / Audio / Video Cable Power Cord on both camera and receiver. Receiver took about 20 min to install. I routed wires nicely, add choke rings. I have 4 bars running 60 mph. Great purchase and very pleased.

Comments
Camera and receivers still working great. Only issue is antenna broke on camera. Purchased aftermarket router antenna 18”. Still have 4 bars.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

Camera and monitor work great when hooked to battery power. Did not work when hooked to clearance light circuit on late model GM truck. Excellent range picture clarity.

Comments
The camera needs a 12-24V DC circuit using 18AWG or larger cables to work. You must also ensure it has the correct polarity of DC power supply to the camera. Perhaps the running light does not receive the 1224V to power it.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

I absolutely love this camera system. I don't necessarily use it to back up but it is invaluable in metropolitan areas when there is heavy traffic. When changing lanes it is great to know what is around you. The only issue I have is that the camera will switch from rear view to side view, we haven't figured that out yet. That being said I still would not want to be with out this camera system.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

I love this camera! It is so much better than I originally thought it would be. I use it for my rearview mirror when traveling, I can see who is behind my Camper and I don't have to use the add on mirrors on my tow vehicle anymore because I can see now with the backup camera in the rear blind spot and the rest with my tow vehicles mirrors. I also can now back my travel trailer into the campsites without my wifes help and do that with only one try. It has been such a nice experience using this camera system.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

I purchased this item to make it easier when backing my travel trailer into a spot. It was very easy to install since my trailer was pre wired for a backup camera. While I have yet to use it, since it is no longer camping season in my area, I have tested it out. It has a very clear and sharp picture. I am excited to try it out for real next season.

Everything was easy to install on my prewired camper. The only issue was i couldn't get the camera to power on. After two days of troubleshooting, I found out that my truck headlights had to be on to supply power to the camera. Now everything works fine.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

Bought the Furrion Camera system a year ago and it is truly a great item for monitoring what you're towing. With a 33 foot trailer, It makes lane changing much easier as well as when backing into tight campsites. Item was an easy install on the trailer as well as placement of the monitor within the tow vehicle. Highly recommend this to anyone towing a trailer or another vehicle to monitor what is going on behind you.

The install was easy after watching the etrailer installation videos. The rear camera already got me out of an unsafe situation on the highway! I gave 4 stars due to the side marker camera angle. I wanted to see the sides of my physical trailer so I had to cut wedges to get the angle.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

We received our Furrion Observation Camera, FOS43TASF, quickly as advertised. Our camera arrived with no damage. Installation was fast and easy on our 2018, Grand Design, Imagine, 2600RB, plug and play with the existing mount. It took maybe 20 - 30 minutes at the most to install, pair and make minor adjustments. The camera and viewer paired immediately when power was turned on. The camera turned on when the trailer parking lights were turned on. Positioned the camera so the spare tire could be seen on the observation screen to give a point of reference to the back of the camper. Received a strong signal on the pairing. We haven't driven the camper on the road yet to give a review on the workings of the the unit but, don't expect any problems. Should be a good safety feature to know what is behind us when towing. Very happy with our purchase and would recommend this product. This product from etrailer was the least expensive price I could find while researching price points. Thank you etrailer.

Review from a similar Vision S Wireless in RV Camera System

We purchased the Furrion FOS43TASF to use as an observation camera while towing our new 2018 26' Jayco Jay Flight travel trailer. Our Jayco came equipped with a pre-wired mount for the Furrion camera. The pre-wired black female cord for the camera was present but someone at the factory forgot to wire it to power, so when I plugged in the camera, there was no juice... I removed the center clearance light on the back of the trailer, used the supplied power cord and to feed in/splice in from the clearance light. Installation only took about 15 minutes. We already made our first trip this season and the camera worked wonderful. Great picture, no delays, very happy being able to see what's in the back and coming along the sides. We didn't use the monitor mount supplied with the Furrion, instead we used a vent phone mount I had for my phone that worked perfectly. This is our second and the best observation camera for towing a trailer we've experienced. The first one was another brand on different travel trailer we just sold. Our experience with that camera was poor picture quality, delays and blackouts. We definitely would recommend the Furrion FOS43TASF.
