Can I Replace Furrion Vision S Cameras With Furrion Vision S+ Cameras in Fifth Wheel
Updated 03/11/2026 | Published 03/07/2026 >
Question:
My fifth wheel had the Furrion Vision S system installed. I’m going to upgrade to the Vision S+ system. Are the side marker bases the same so that I could just swap the cameras out? They seem to fit, but want to make sure the wiring is identical

Hi Scott,
That’s a smart question to ask before you pull anything apart.
Good news, the Vision S+ side cameras in the kit part # FR64AD are designed to use the same style marker light base and wiring as the original Vision S system. If your fifth wheel came factory-prepped for Furrion Vision S, the side marker bases and 12V power feed are the same style connection.
Here’s the important part: Vision S and Vision S+ components are not cross-compatible. Even though the side marker bases may look the same and physically fit, you can’t mix Vision S+ cameras with a Vision S system. The S+ cameras will only work with other Vision S+ components. So if you’re upgrading, you would need the full Vision S+ kit rather than just swapping the cameras onto your existing setup. That way everything pairs correctly and works as intended without signal or compatibility issues.
Where are you headed next with the fifth wheel? Anywhere fun?

I’m grateful for the response, just wished I had held off to receive it. I went ahead and removed the bases and reinstalled the new ones. My connections were much cleaner in the end. This will definitely help others cut the time, as they will only need to remove the lense cover, two small Phillips head screws and put in the new camera. For the rear shark fin, four screws and rca plug. Difference in time, five minutes per camera tops to swap out. New base install on side marker cameras, maybe an hour each.
