Updated 07/30/2026 | Published 07/24/2026

Question:

I am interested in purchasing a B and W Gooseneck pin box. The numbers off the sticker reads… RPO 0009636335 LCI 2022071940 S/N S009782949 It is a Rhino Box on it now. My truck is a 2026 2500 HD 6.6 Diesel with the factory installed gooseneck with a 6.5 foot bed. Can you tell me what pin box I will need. Thank you in advance. Rick

Hey Rick!

The B&W pin box adapter is a great choice to upgrade your trailer setup to tow with your diesel 2026 Chevy Silverado 2500 HD with 6-1/2' bed! I gave your specs to the manufacturer and confirmed that you have a Lippert Rhino pin box. The B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # BW55RV is the best replacement for your current pin box and it will bolt up in place of it, so there will be no compatibility issues at all. This is rated for up to 25,000 lbs of trailer weight and 4,500 lbs of tongue weight. If you have a lighter trailer don't need quite that much tongue weight, the B&W 5th Wheel to Gooseneck Pin Box # BW23RV is rated at 3,250 lbs of tongue weight while keeping the 25,000 lbs GTW rating. The adapter won't be affected by your 6-1/2' truck bed and the shock absorption using the SumoSprings is going to be really a great feature for you and give you a smoother ride than an OEM pin box, so I have no doubts that you'll love this pin box.

What kind of rig do you have? Where are you planning on taking it once this pin box is installed?

I have a 2023 Forest River Rogue SUT 39’-11” Toy Hauler. My first major trip will be to Kanab Utah in October.

@RickH Oh that's awesome! There are definitely some beautiful views out there and it helps that you're not to far from the Grand Canyon or Zion National Park. Are you planning to go to either of those locations?

@JerryB We are planning to visit both places in a SxS group of about 28 people and 15 machines
