JUST INSTALLED TODAY. FIT PERFECT IN THE HOUSING FOR MY OLD FURRION CAMERA. PICTURE IS 1,000 TIMES BETTER THAN OLD VERSION.

by:

This camera system works great! Being able to see what's behind my 42' 5th wheel brings on increased confidence that assists my mediocre backing skills. Worth the money

by:

Easy 15 minute install on my 2026 Connect trailer. The monitor and camera linked almost instantly and acquired the video stream in a couple of seconds.

by:

Huge difference from our old Furion camera. Crystal clear picture. Old one was blurry and much smaller. Easy installation. Instruction video on your site was spot on. So happy wirh our purchase.

by:

Video is not smooth... Very slow frame rate like rapid slide show. Contacted Furrion, sent a video showing the problem and was told it was normal.. Looked fine to them. A system I bought on Amazon previously for another RV for less than half the cost did not have this issue. It works, just not well.

by:

I purchased this for a new Fifth Wheel trailer as it had been prewired. I find the product to great and the installation went smoothly.

by:

Love it for the most part. Signal drops out quite a bit and works off headlights being on.

by:

I am impressed with the clarity and image reception. Definitely be sure and buy the SD card that is needed once it’s purchased. The trailer had a great price and always have very good technical and product representation. Their representative are always helpful and knowledgeable.

by:

our 2025 keystone had a camera but someone needed more than us so it was somewhat ready the imitation screws that came in the package were a joke so off to menards for the correct length and size hooked and work perfect

by:

Used this to replace my Furrion Vision S with the small dim display. This is a much-improved product that can be simply plugged in to replace the Furrion S (which was functionally almost worthless) with no rewiring.

by:

Service grom your company was Great. Especially appreciated the updates, tracking info, I had a question about the product that was promptly answered by knowledgable staff.

by:

Has definitely made my trailer towing less stressful and backing up is a breeze. Really like being able to see behind the trailer when driving. Image quality is very good. Installation and configuration was a breeze. Connected everything and turned it on and it worked. Only issue I had was there were no mounting screws included - there was a the camera mounting screws and another set of 1/4" long screws which were too short to use for mounting. Fortunately my trailer was prewired and I was able to re-use the old screws.

Highly recommend having a backup camera/monitor.

by:

Since my Travel Trailer was pre wired for Furrion, I paid the extra for a Furrion. Install was about 20 minutes, and that was taking my time, making sure I didn’t lose those mini screws. Powered everything up an worked like it was supposed too. Real world test next week.

by:

Just received camera system, well packaged and received on time. Will continue with review after installed.

Camera system has been working great, no issues. Using this system while pulling 36 foot toy hauler, provides a great rear view of approaching traffic and use of extended side mirrors eliminating blind spots on road.

@Jim these are definitely a game changer when towing something like a 36' trailer. No blind spots and peace of mind for sure. Thanks for stopping by and we appreciate you choosing etrailer!

by:

Since our camper was already pre wired with the camera mount, it was simple to install. The camera works great. I definitely recommend this camera.

by:

Very good resolution screen. It was plug and play installation for my Imagine travel trailer.

by:

So full disclaimer. My trailer was already pre wired for a system from Furrion. Easy to install. Great picture. Once I figured out that my truck had to be running to provide power to the trailer for the camera to work it was easy. Key on engine off did not provide the necessary power. Set up the angle I wanted on the camera and good to go. Got to buy a SIM card for recording your trip. You can monitor all the time or use it for backing only.

by:

My RV is not equipped with the pre-wired system. How can I wire in the rear camera?

by:

I have tried similar knockoffs to Furrion with decent results but I always seemed to have issues with the cameras failing prematurely. While Furrion is a bit more expensive, I think the quality and dependability is worth the extra cost. Like the old saying goes, you get what you pay for.

by:

We are very pleased with our Furion S+ camera system. The Furion S was all that was available when we purchase originally and this upgrade was well worth the price. The monitor does not wash out in direct sun nor black out after dark. I advise any RV camper to purchase. Also etrailer once again had quick response to our questions and shipment was here in 4 days. We would give more stars on product and service if it were available.

I have a 2024 Chevrolet Silverado 3500HD and therefore needed the PWM filter. I had an installer put in the filter and the camera. The installer tested the camera functionality (not with my truck) and stated that it was fine. I tested it in my truck later with the cigarette lighter cable provided in the box. I don't have a cigarette lighter 12v socket in my truck so I used the Swift Hitch
AC to DC Adapter for Swift Hitch Wireless Camera System
Part Number: PP01 to plug into. This adapter has worked fine for my TST 507 monitor. Well, when I plugged the Vision S+ monitor into the adapter, which was plugged into the AC outlet in my truck, it totally threw the truck's Infotainment system for a loop! It was like a virus had taken over my electronics and was paging through all of the menus, even making changes to data in fields. Luckily nothing permanent was changed in the electronics, but it was rather upsetting to see this. I still don't know if it was the cigarette lighter cable included in the box or the Swift Hitch 12v adapter that caused this. So I switched out the cigarette lighter cable with a Type A to Type C USB cable, plugged it into a USB port in my truck, and everything worked fine. Camera works great, the picture is great, and there is no fooling around with my truck's Infotainment system and data. I reported this issue to etrailer who in turn reported to Lippert/Furrion, from whom I am still waiting to hear from. If they shed any new light and why this issue occurred, I will update my review later.

by:

I installed the camera and paired it with the monitor but it says not connected. I called Furrion and after being on hold for over 45 minutes I was told that it wont work with a chevy unless I purchase a 7 pin adapter. I have ordered the adapter but it wont arrive until 7/7 after the holiday. It would have been nice if E trailer had told me when purchasing the camera that I needed the adapter too.

by:

Installed and wired as directed. Originally plugged in the monitor to the USB/C cable and result was no power. Checked cord in plugging to my phone. Result said it was charging. Then checked the cig lighter pluggin. Result that the monitor works w/ lighter pluggin.
I'm not sure what the USB cord was sent along for. Now that I found a way to power it up. The camera and monitor works as I was hoping. I'm able to see my trailer clearly behind my pickup "slide in" camper.

Glad it's working well for you, Tom! That USB-C cord should have also supplied power, so it's a little weird that it didn't. Would you prefer to be using that cord? I can see what we can do to get that remedied if you like.

by:

Great place to purchase from. This replaces my OG Furrion setup. I will be using the same rear view mirror mount for the Vision S+ display. I need to get a photo of the new display mounted to the rear view mirror.

Did you 3D print your mount?

by:

The camera was very easy to install. I planned on installing the camera 2-inches below the center running light, but instead I removed the center running light and installed the camera in its place, and less holes to drill for a cleaner look. I've had this rv trailer for over a year, but I've always traveled with a companion that could assist and spot me when backing up, but my next camping trip will be solo. It was important for me to have this camera installed for backing into the camp sites I've reserved, as these are not pull through sites. It will also be nice to see any vehicles that are directly behind me that my side mirrors can't pick up.

That’s a really clean install, nice call using the center running light location. Sounds like this is going to be a big help on those solo trips too. Having that rear view when you’re backing into tighter campsites takes a lot of the guesswork out, especially without a spotter. What states are you traveling to this summer?

  • 2019 Jayco Whitehawk 26RK Camera Monitoring System Recommendation
Hey Dennis, thanks for reaching out! The Furrion Vision S+ system is what you're looking for as the rear camera will be plug and play like you're wanting. For a single rear camera, you need the Kit # FR57AD, but if you'd like to install a few more we have the 4-Camera Kit # FR74AD. This will require you to modify your trailer for the additional cameras, but depending on what you want out of an observation system it might be worth it. The cameras can be used during travel as well as when...

  • Does 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500HD Require Power Adapter for Install of Furrion Vision S+ System
Hey Mike, your 2025 Chevy Silverado 2500HD will have the power issue with the Furrion Vision S + # FR57AD that you have so you would need a solution like the part # VGR64VR that you referenced. Or if you don't want to mess with any wiring you could just use the plug-in style adapter part # FR87PR which does the same thing. You'd plug your 7-way into it and then plug it into your vehicle 7-way. But to answer your question the # VGR64VR would work on the thinner gauge wires that you have....

Hey Mike, it is important that you use the included power cable with the Furrion Vision S+ Wireless RV Backup System w/ 1 Camera # FR57AD like the instructions indicate. • Back Up Camera For an In Bed Camper
Hey, Joe. That's a great question. Backup cameras and rearview, observation, cameras are essentially the same, the difference comes down to how they’re wired. With a system like the Furrion Vision S+ Wireless RV Backup System # FR57AD, it’s typically wired into the reverse light so it turns on when you shift into reverse. However, many people wire it to a constant 12V power source instead so it can be used as a rear observation camera while driving. The monitor will go into a “sleep”...

However, I do recommend getting the Furrion Vision S+ # FR57AD over the old Vision S. They use the same mount so this is still compatible with what you have on the travel trailer. • How to Get Furrion Vision S+ to Work with Plug on 2017 Forest River Wildwood Ultra Lite
Hey Joe, thanks for reaching out! To get the camera from the Furrion Vision S+ Wireless RV Backup System, like part # FR57AD with 1 camera, to work, you'll need to remove the plug on your Forest River and install the plug that came with the camera. You might try cutting the plug off initially to see if there are just 2 wires that you can then splice to the plug that came with your kit, but that's about it. • Solution for Needing Replacement Furrion Vision S Camera
Hey Scotty, so unfortunately Furrion recently discontinued the Vision S system and replaced it with the Vision S + which uses all new components and is not backwards compatible. What that means is that we don't have a replacement camera alone for what you have as you most likely have the older system. So best solution would be the part # FR57AD for an all new Vision S + system. I know it's not ideal but is that something you'd be open to?

You can use the suction cup and mount it near your rear view mirror but there is no specific mount for it. The system actually includes two different cables. One is USB-C to 12V for the standard 12V socket. The other is USB-C to USB-A so you will be able to power it with a standard USB port in your F-350.
