Today, we're going to take a look at the rear view safety back up camera system, with the seven inch color monitor, and the flush mount camera. This camera system has this nice crystal-clear seven inch digital TFT LCD color monitor, with distance grid lines that are optional and adjustable. Does offer mirror image capability, and auto dimming feature. Does use built-in speakers. And it's menu can be navigated with the back-lit on dash buttons, or the included wireless remote.Does have this sun shade than can be removed if you don't need it. Does include these two mounts for it.
The universal adjustable dash mount, that will just slide in the back here. And then you can adjust it up or down, or whichever position you need. Or the U-bracket mount, that will mount on its side, and hang from above.Does include the power harness to connect to the monitor. It is a fused power harness. The camera it comes with is a color CCD camera, built with this heavy duty zinc metal.
It is a flush mount design. Does even include this hole saw, for installation. Allows you to drill the correct size hole to install the camera. This camera has a viewing angle of 120 degrees. Does use nine infrared lights around the outside to allow you to see up to 35 in the darkest night. And the cameras are completely weather proof, with an IP68K rating.
They're strong, reliable, shock resistant, and they have a 15G impact rating, which is one of the highest in the industry. It does use aircraft grade cable connections. And it does include this 33 foot long extension cable for the camera. Does come with all the mounting hardware you need to install it. Has a nice operator's manual to describe how to make all your connections, and how all this all operates. But that should do it for the review on the rear view safety back up camera system, with the seven inch monitor, and the flush mount camera..

Product and pricing excellence is what etrailer is all about. They bakc it all up with great customer support. thanks etrailer.
Exactly what I needed for our venerable 2003 Jayco travel trailer. 3D printed a very neat unit that holds the display and fits into a “sunglasses pocket” on the top of the dashboard of our Chevy Colorado pickup.
Haven’t used the camera system yet but it was fast on delivery. The cameras and components look like they are made very well. Customer service dept. works well for the consumer. Thanks and I will give a review when installed.
Quick shipping, easy order process, ordered the same product from another vendor who promised next day delivery and did not hold up to their end. Do not order from Truckid or Carid. Product fits perfectly in Isuzu. Will order again.
Thanks
I have done business with etrailer for over 5 years. In every case I have found their pricing to be fair and their customer service to be excellent.
Gives be great visibly on both sides and blind spots. Used the rear camera to watch my TOAD.
Recieved my etrailer order yesterday. Received it very quickly, I ordered two items,
a back-up camera system and sensor set-up. Very pleases with what I have seen of it. Will install it this weekend, can't wait.
Everything we have purchased has been great! We are very happy with everything. The Sterling towbar, the rear camera are all working great as we start a new adventure.Thank you!
superior upgrade for us. would have been 5 star but the installation and usage instructions are almost worthless. 8^)
Still going strong. Great picture quality. I would recommend this if you are looking for and backup camera. Etrailer is a good company to buy from with excellent customer followup on you satisfaction.
I bought a two camera setup, works great! One camera on the 5th wheel hitch, and one on the rear of the trailer. The camera on the trailer is setup to be on all the time I am driving. It really helps for backing up, but it is even better on the road. You can see cars coming up on the trailer and see if they are going to pass.
This system failed after a few months and then neither the manufacturer or etrailer would stand behind the product. This is not a quality product.
This 2 camera system gives me a full view of the road behind me as well as providing a closeup look at my toad. The backup guide-lines let me drive my 33' Southwind backwards with a trailer without any problem whatsoever.....and I can easily switch between the full-road or close-up modes to check on my trailer/toad when going through dicey road conditions.
Very easy to hook up.....wire your power supply line and plug in the rest.
This is an awesome camera setup. I installed this on a 2012 Chevy Express cargo van. I mounted the camera to the top of the 3rd brake light cover and drilled a 3/4" hole to hold the included rubber grommet for the camera wiring. The wiring was simple, I found a fuse that is tied into the ignition switch and used a fuse tap to supply the minimal amps needed. I wired it so the camera is on whenever the vehicle is running, to act as the rear view mirror since the van has no rear windows. This is a high-quality kit and I am very happy with it.
It is not clear how to install the U shaped bracket with the monitor. One picture in the manual shows thumbscrews, maybe nuts too (not a great picture), and it appears to be mounting to the sunshade I believe. There are no holes in the sun shade, and no nuts for the thumbscrews.
There are 4 holes in the back of the monitor, 2 on each side that look like they would be for mounting, but no brackets or screws to fit those.
Do you have a question about this RV Camera System?

I am sorry for the frustrating instruction Charles. This monitor actually has two mounting options, which isn’t clearly explained in the instructions. The U-shaped bracket mounts to the sides of the monitor housing, not the sunshade. The thumbscrews go through the bracket and into the monitor to hold it in place. The four holes on the back are for an alternate mounting style, and that hardware is not included. If your kit is missing the bracket or thumbscrews, it may be incomplete.- I hope this helps =)
