Directions where sub par, was not able to fix it and probably made it worse, a video showing actually how to replace this part would have been helpful. That tiny spring needs to be stronger especially for what function it provided to the winch

The part was exactly what I needed, and it was easy to install — thanks to Etrailer's helpful how-to video. Importantly, the part was much more affordable than any other source I could find.
Three pieces came, a rod and two nuts! And that’s not a joke! No lever, no black rubber cover and no SPRING!
I apologize for the "average" rating given that your products are generally above average to excellent. I must down rate the spring in this ratchet repair kit. This is my 2nd replacement necessitated by spring failure. It gets a lot of use on my boat trailer, so a redesign intended to reduce metal fatigue will be most welcome.

The ratchet lock spring is preforming well after a year in regular use.
Got the right parts quick and at a good price. Repair took a little over an hour. Ready to go fishing...
The repair kit was out of stock when I ordered it. Company kept in touch with us regarding when it would be shipped. Would order from them again. Kit was exactly what we needed.

Was looking for just the spring to fix my Fulton 1800 series winch.
Took a chance that the 1600 spring in the repair kit was the same and it was.
The lever is the same also.

Service personnel were very friendly and responsive except for one thing. The part I needed was the spring for the winch latch and initially I ordered that spring. Long story short, after a number of months, I was informed the spring was no longer available for ordering individually and my order was canceled. Months later in my own searching I learned that I could get the spring as part of a repair kit for my winch. Had I been informed that this was possible early on it would have saved me months of wondering and searching for a solution. Fortunately, this all took place at a time when I didn't need the winch since it was winter. All is good now as my winch is once again in working order just in time for the open water season. Thank you.

I had a little bit of trouble trying to figure out how the parts you sent me fit into the trailer winch. The documentation was not clear, but I won out in the end. Everything fit and is working well now. Thanks for providing me the part.

Unfortunaely, the pawl spring gave out and I had to replace it. All the other components are in excellent shape, as are typical of your products. This spring, however, may need to be reengineered with a better alloy.
Broke my original when I let the bumper jack get too close. Ordered this after finally finding at etrailer and it was a perfect fit and continues to work well. Quality components.
All I needed was the spring but I couldnt find it locally. This kit was available for $15 and a new winch was $45/$50 so i opted for the kit. The winch is fixed and I'm back in business. Shipping was fast. I'd buy from here again

Used this item to replace the ratchet pawl and spring on my Fulton T1801 winch; worked perfectly. Website is easy to use, and the product shipped quickly!
Easy to install
The repair kit that I purchased was extremely easy to install and works perfectly. Being able to purchase a repair kit saved me a lot of money instead of having to purchase a new winch.
I've not yet installed the part, but it appears to be the correct one. etrailer.com made it easy to find the right part, thanks etrailer!

These guys need more than one star! I called on Saturday about the problem and expected a call back on Monday! Nope an hour later iam notified the issue is handled the replacement is going out. My part came on Wednesday! These did me right!
