Today we're taking a look at a replacement motor for powered winches. Now, this motor fits a lot of winches. It fits the Dutton-Lainson 120 volt AC powered winches. We have found this to be a fit for some of the newer powered winches like the Strongarm winches and also some of the older winches from years ago. So it's a very versatile motor. It applies to a lot of winches.
Again, it's designed for Dutton-Lainson 120 volt AC powered winches. They do have an application guide on their website that you can refer to. You can always ask us a question as well through customer service or through our experts and we can tell you whether or not this is going to be a fit for your application.It is a direct replacement part, so it's straight from the manufacturer, which is Dutton-Lainson. It has the three wire design with the connections already installed on the ends of each wire. The casing, as you can see here, it's blue in color, but the entire thing is made from a nice durable steel construction with protective finishing and coating on it, so that is going to definitely add a layer of rust and corrosion protection, keeping the unit safe from the elements and safe from damage.That's going to do it for today's look at the replacement motor for powered winches.

I have a 1985 Strong-arm winch that the motor failed. Dutton said a replacement is no longer available. This motor from etrailer was a exact replacement and worked perfectly. Winch is working like new.

Update: After one year in service the replacement motor is still running well and strong. Very happy with the replacement motor and would highly recommend it.

it was a replacement motor for my Strong Arm winch for my Sea Doo Lift.
I have one problem the break disk on the shaft spins freely after I raise the sea doo and goes back down . I will have to see how I will correct this

Etrailer was awesome to work with. Made my order over the phone with a Person. He was nice and helpful. The items we bought was literally a third of the price of our davit manufacturer. Also the manufacturer said it would be a week for them to order it and then send to us. I let etrailer know that we needed our parts asap. Ordered on Saturday and received Tuesday. All parts were exactly what we ordered and worked perfectly. Etrailer sent us emails for every step so we were informed. Thank you! Would order from again and highly recommend!!

Was thrilled to learn that I could replace the shorted out motor on my Strongarm hoist.
Hoist got flooded in St Lawrence River but customer service to the rescue advising on the correct switch and motor for my application. VERY helpful and fast delivery. Fixed hoist for under 200 dollars!
